Must have been a great game.
Is it a surprise or not that EP got beat?
Thoughts?

I was not there but here is the game summary from MGHCA.com:
"Bethany Brausen popped in the game winner with 1:22 seconds left in overtime to lead Roseville past Eden Prairie. Charlotte Hoium scored 2 goals for the Raiders and Erin Babineau had two assists. Melissa Feste led the Eagles with a goal and an assist. Shots were 28-21 in favor of the Raiders."
It sounds as if Roseville held their own and maybe then some, outshooting EP by a 4-3 margin. Personally, I don't think the outcome was a huge shocker, even though going in most observers would say EP was the strong favorite to win. This is evidenced by our own POLL on this board and by all of the various rankings. But in any one game certainly anything can happen when two teams of comparable ability go up against each other, and this seems to be the case here. Same in last year's section playoffs when EP got beat 3-2 by a very good Wayzata team - I think that one was a lot more of a shocker because it broke the long winning streak. In fact I think Blaine upending Edina last week was just as much of an upset as this one.
There seems to be more balance than ever this year so you're going to see more upsets like this during the rest of the year.
