Bemidji and Lightning

Post by archway Sign »

Work is the lumberjacks played well over the holidays without a key member of their team. How will this game play out with Sara Erickson absent from the lineup.

its called a blowout, Rapids is playing too well for Bemidji to even keep up with Erickson. Without her, this game will be about 6-2 on a good night.

Agree, even with her probably 6-2. Have seen Bemidji a couple times this year pretty average team.

Is it confirmed that there will be no Sarah Erickson?

Likley will have Sele in net = EZ win (check Edina OT Stats).

Seems harsh but I too have watched Bemidji a couple of times this year...very one-dimensional and if Erickson is missing, should be a very lopsided game.

Bemidji has been coming on stronger, even without Erickson but GRG ladies are really rolling so have to go with a GRG win of 5-2.

Interesting...my reports tell me I will see two Ericksons tonight. I guess I will see. Leaving for Bemidji in a little while.

GRG wins 7-3. Molly Illikainen with the hat trick. That's all I got.

Lightning dominated on a very weird night. Zamboni broke down and only resurfaced half the ice after the first. Teams went to the locker rooms after the second period, but the ice was not redone. There were only two refs and they really struggled all night. Good thing boblee was there to correct scoring errors on 8 of the 10 goals in the game. Here is the scoring summary:

1. GRG, Morgan Illikainen (Molly Illikainen, Molly Arola) 8:14 1st
2. GRG, Molly Illikainen (Marina Guyer, JoHanna Kohorst) 16:45 1st
3. GRG, Emily Erickson (Molly Arola, Dana Gallop) 2:55 2nd
4. Bem, Alissa Johnson (Jessica Christofferson) 5:37 2nd
5. GRG, Molly Illikainen (Molly Arola) 5:54 2nd
6. Bem, Haley Johnson 9:53 2nd
7. GRG, Emily Erickson (Dana Gallop) 11:49 2nd
8. GRG, Molly Illikainen (Molly Arola, Heather Horgen) 13:32 2nd
9. GRG, Dana Gallop (Kayla Clafton, Emily Erickson) 6:27 3rd
10. Bem, Haley Johnson (Karly Engen) 10:44 3rd

Saves:
GRG, Jessica Havel 23
Bem, Kaia Sele 24

I hope all these got to the coaches website correctly.

I'd also like to throw in that in my opinion these were the best two players on the ice (by team).

Agreed, both girls had very nice games for their respective teams.
