Roseau Pee Wee "A" tournament

Post by abc123 »

I see that Roseau has a tourney in a few weeks. Who is going to be there and who do you think is the favorite. I know that Grand Rapids is there and I have to peg them as the fav since they beat Roseau 5-1 earlier in the year. I know old watchdog will have his opinion but he has been fairly quiet on here lately. I wish Moorhead was going to this tournament so they could beat up on Roseau again. But as we know that would never happen ever again RIGHT WATCHDOG.

You can add Eden Prairie, Warroad and Cloquet to the list.

abc we play moorhead on feb. 2nd if what i say has no marit what are you willing to put up? ther is no doubt in my mind what so ever whos gona win that game and its not moorhead. it was a fluke game moorhead played outstanding roseau played terrible the odds just arent in your favor. didnt you guys just lose to trf or egf 4-1 or something? well since we have beat both those teams twice EASILY look for more of the same feb 2nd. ok here we go i have a good one if you come to the game you bring a moorhead hat and ill bring a roseau hat who ever looses has to were the hat for the rest of the day hows that sound?

roseau
grand rapids

white div.
grafton

warroad
trf
those are the brackets. top bracket is by far the superior im not sure why they set it up this way my guess is just to asure good games.

Anyone of the top 4 teams (or the bottom 4 teams for that matter) could find themselves in the Championship game or the 7th place game. Each side of the bracket is pretty balanced, but I think it is pretty obvious, which "side" will win their games on Sunday.

maxpower- are you serious? arent you the one that comes on here and does rankings and stuff and your gona make the comment the brackets are equal? wow im not doing rankings but i can tell ya with no problem the best 4 teams in this tourney are cloquet,gr,ep and roseau. its not even close. as for which teams play for what place ofcourse each bracket will have teams playing for 1st 2nd 3rd ect. thats the way its set up.
anyway this tournament breaks down like this.
roseau vs ep
gr vs cloquet
crookston vs trf
grafton vs warroad

saturday
roseau vs gr
ep vs cloquet
grafton vs crookston
warroad vs trf
roseau vs cloquet
ep vs gr
crookston vs warroad
trf vs grafton

sunday
green #2 vs white #2 3rd
white#4 vs green #4 7th
green #1 vs white #1 championship
white #3 vs green#3 5th

You obviously misread my statement.
I said that "each side of the bracket is balanced."
Therefore the Top 4 teams in the upper bracket are pretty equal, and the bottom 4 teams in the lower bracket are pretty equal.
I also said it is pretty obvious which "side" of the bracket will win the Sunday games. (ie: the top half of the bracket should win all four games on Sunday)

your right its my lack of english skills getting the best of me again. anyway i think its set up for a good tourney and who knows about sunday it should be a green sweep but those teams grafton, trf, warroad, and crookston can all be tuff on any givin day. in other words you better be on your game or they can take you out. although we just played horrible in east grand forks this weekend and still managed to pull it out. roseau is so inconsistant.

Rousou Pee Wee A Tourney

Post by nahc »

To bad Edin Prarie has to drive 10 hours or so to get to Rousou prior to playing the host team........that same afternoon......long rides seem to take the edge off most Pee Wee players and they aren't at their best.

Maybe you should look at a map before you leave.

If it takes you 10 hours to get to Roseau from Eden Prairie you better start looking for a new bus driver.

mum is the word on this tourney nobodys talkin any smack. i will not be the first roseau is set up real good for this one. number 3 ep right out of the gate. than its grand rapids and cloquet two teams we have already lost to earlier in the season. im not sure what to expect i thought we would be ready for these games by now with this team. however roseau has gotten lazy and has played 5 bad games in a row by my opinion. my feeling is you can be lazy and allow time and space against weaker teams and still win those games which we have. if roseau gives time and space up like they have been to ep,gr and cloquet look for another three loss tourney for roseau as was the result for the bantams last weekend.

Again, Roseau cannot be called out for taking an easy game or two.
They will have to earn their way to the championship. Good for Roseau.

Nobody will accuse Roseau of home cooking the brackets and if they get to the Championship game on Sunday (who ever does) will have played some pretty nice hockey.

I would imagine the winner of the their pool will have at least 1 loss.
