Should be a good one as both teams are having a hard time finding themselves this year.

I'll agree it should be a good game, especially since White Bear seems to have problems at the St. Croix Rec. Center in the last few years.

I'll take the Bears by two goals, including an empty netter.

WB-Stillwater

This seems like an odd game for FSN to cover.

Why? This is a good rivalry, Stillwater/WB have had some good games in the past. It's a nice arena, nicely lit should be a good game to watch. Plus I will be there.

The HM - WBL game would have been covered by FSN instead, but there was a conflicting game that night (the Wild I believe..)

The Bears should handle the Ponies rather easily in this one. Stillwater is not only having a hard time “finding itself,” they appear to be imploding. They started the season by dropping 3 of their first 4. They have went 1-3-1 in their last five contests.

The Bears on the other hand have proved that they can’t beat Hill (2x’s) but otherwise they have started a respectable year and the recent roster change will continue to pay dividends.

Measuring by success against common opponents is in WB’s favor.

Stillwater is down, way down, from previous years and won’t be much more than a speed bump in this one.

WB by 3.

4-7 with 2 OT losses and one OTSO loss. I would say thats having trouble finding themselves rather then implosion. Implosion would be what WBL did when they got cocky and overconfident against Park, lots of crow eatin that night.

From what I have seen this is the toughest conference in the State. No one is heads above anyone else. Top to bottom every game is tough, to come on here and sound like WBL is walking through everyone is ridiculous. But that is the WBL way cocky, arrogant and unrealistic. Yes Stillwater lost to Flake but wasn't that right after WBL beat them 10-0? don't you think they had a little team meeting after that, Moberg was pulled right away in the WBL game you think he might have been a little pumped for the next game to make sure it didn't happen again? Yes it sounds like excuses but I am just reiterating how tough this SEC is.

Basically, it's like throw out the records and what each team did with others. This is a tough conference and nobody can go into an SEC game thinking they have won already.

This will probably be a closer game than many are thinking it will be.

I agree, Stilwater always plays WBL tough at their arena.

Agreed, especially if White Bear repeats their mistake with Park and gets too cocky.

I'll take WB 5-2 but I think it will be close through about 2 periods before the Bears pull away.

Matt Johnson did go down but it was on his second shift of the game and it appears to only be a bruised clavical not a broken collar bone as first thought by team. this team will struggle without him in the line up. i think he is highly underated especially for who he has surounding him.

Nice game for the Bears. I still stand by my comment that Stillwater has many problems and is trending in the wrong direction. WB, on the other hand, is starting to pull it together and play good team hockey. Roseville will be a big test for them over the weekend but that's another thread...

Sam Swanson gets better every time I watch the Bears. Putney had a great game last night.

white bear gets the job done again.. if it wasnt for parks miracle and that loss to cloquet after beating duluth east really late in a really intense game.. white bear could be a top 5 team in state

I don't think top five, but they're definately pulling it together. The Bears will be a dangerous team come sections..
