yeah i agree this saturday the 5th is really going to show who the top teams in the league are with Champlin Park vs. Centenial and Blaine vs. Anoka. There is going to be some movement at the top of the confrence. Correction Champlin plays at home against Centenial by the way look for that to be a good game.

I think this confrence isnt up for the best team, since there isnt one. This confrence is up for grabs for the hungriest team. What with CP trying to prove themselves in the State of Hockey, and Blaine Centennial trying to keep their names, and Anoka looking to get back into the game. All teams have their strong points (ex. Pitlick and Hanna for Cenn. The first line on Anoka), yet every teams has flaws that it seems the other teams will easily capitalize on. I am not going to make any predictions in NWSC play, chances are I will be wrong.
NW Sub Conf.
This is a 3 horse race...in no particular order...Anoka, Blaine, Centennial...just because Champlin Park got one win over Blaine... doesn't make them a true contender...and it won't be the hungriest team...as each of the 3 listed teams have superior talent over the rest of the pack...it will be the team that plays the most consistently...and gets strong goaltending.MNsGreatest#2 wrote:I think this confrence isnt up for the best team, since there isnt one. Blaine, Cenntenial, and Anoka are three very good teams, and I will not pleed my case too much, but you cannot wrte off CP. They are a hungry team that is very physical. As it always is, the three teams listed fall to physical teams. And CP didnt slip by Blaine. The score may have been 2-1, but CP controlled the outcome of that game.
Centennial has lost what? 5 of the last six games?
And im not only going to give CP the tip of the hat, Maple Grove is a very solid team also, and they should be considered. Think what you will about the NWSC, but in my mind its up for grabs from FIVE teams.
I do not belive Andover is a top of the confrence caliber team, but they will definentely reek some havoc on the top teams.

I really believe that Centenial and Blaine are the best teams in the Conference, even though Anoka's first line is VERY good. Centenial and Blaine have players on their teams that have experienced A LOT of success growing up, and their records are not that important right now, because they will be better by the end of the year. Blaine and Centenial will both win a large percentage of their remaining conference games.

Anoka vs. Blaine
FINAL - Fogerty Arena:
ANOKA 3
BLAINE 1
JD Wells was stellar in goal for Anoka, allowing just one goal (on a 5-3 Blaine Power-Play) and turning away at least 30 shots.
Cory Belisle scores all 3 goals for Anoka...getting his 2nd Hattie of the season!

I was at this game and this game made champlin look like a bunch of peewee players going up against centennial. They could not make anything click and their D played horrible. Not to mention they couldn't get a shot on goal, they only had 1 shot in the first 2 periods and finished with 5 shots. Thats called a blowout compared to centennials 30shots.Neutron 14 wrote:Ahhh nope.toedragreturns wrote: Correction Champlin plays at home against Centenial by the way look for that to be a good game.
