Hey airforce one. Loking forward to seeing your team at our tourney. The game we played at your place was really fun to watch and was up and down the ice. I believe the teams in the tourney are: Hermantown,E.G.F.,Lakeville South,Moundsview,Duluth Lakers,St. Michaels-Albertville,Little Falls, and Anoka. Our first round we take on Moundsview. Hopefully we get to play you again.

Yes, you have a real nice field playing in this one. We stumbled a little after our tourney but like I said, I think the boys have turned a corner and will be more dangerous next weekend.anothergoaliedad wrote:Hey airforce one. It would be nice to play Hermantown again but that would mean one of two things, we did OUTSTANDING or we both did really bad, I'm hoping for the first part. Wish I could say see you there, but like I said, my wife will be making the trip, I'll be with my squirt that weekend. Good Luck and have fun!

I'm not sure if I have read right but it sounds as if Roseau plays at EGF this weekend. This would be a great chance for frederick61 to see some hockey in the north. He probably could get together with watchdog and Air Force 1 to enjoy the game. Maybe Air Force 1 could put up frederick for the night.

Naw, I think Fred should stay with Watchdog, that way he can get a feel for how far up north Roseau is and what a district road trip is like for them, get the real D16 experience!Kandian Klub wrote:I'm not sure if I have read right but it sounds as if Roseau plays at EGF this weekend. And yes, you read it correct, Roseau at EGF, Saturday, 5 Jan, 4:30 PM at the VFW Arena.

Hermantown 1, Grand Rapids 3 The referees were horrible in this game as there calls decided the outcome of this game. Two goals disallowed against Hermantown. 1st one the goalie actually pulled the puck back out after it had gone in. 2nd one the goalie did not have it covered. His leg was extended out and Herm. shot it in under, but the Ref. on the other side with no view blew the whistle. Hermantown outshot G.R. 29 to 11.
Also G.R. 3rd goal was questionable as Herm. goal had it under his body but was pushed off by G.R. then poked it in. Okay my rant is over, but this kind of reffing just burns ya!

Yeah, I caught the last 8 minutes of the 1st and the rest of the game. My boy did not play in this game. It is frustrating to watch a game decided by the calls of refs.. I know its a tough job to ref. but I really try to be objective and many times I will get points of view from opposing teams fans and talk with them during games. I think any Grand Rapids fan at this game would agree with my assessment.
