Fantastic stuff, STC.
Hockey the way it's meant to be.
Did Canada just get tired, or is Sweden THAT good?
They looked unstoppable late.
Sweden won EVERY faceoff, every puck battle, every scrum that period.
Hard for canada to rebound after that period.

Sweden was on the other end of one of these 28 years ago.

me too, Spar.
They switched my allegiance with their overt homerism.
really had no idea who they were playing, if you didn't know.
they had put this one in the win column a long time ago.
Like hartsburg, like the Canadien spirt, don;t like the NHL network smugness.

This is a great hockey game. A good reason why the US should televise this (and not on the NHL Network). I'm very interested to see how the Canucks rebound in the OT session. Sweden has a very talented club, these two teams have shown that they are the clear cut two best teams in this tourney.

Good stuff guys.
I'm thinking Canada will dig deep and get a gritty effort on a breakaway or an odd-man.
Comes back to that "for country" thing we talked about earlier.
They'll die before they give up. Somehow they get it done.

Oh, Sweden has had the best chance so far just a second ago in front. Sweden has really kicked it up since the second.

Sheesh, Canadas frist good opp and in it goes.
Sweden dominated even the OT, just showed no fear.
One hard rush to the net and it's ovah.
Great game.

Sweden was better, but Canada gets the Gold.
Happens that way sometimes.
