St Cloud Cathedral (7-1-1) @ Warroad (9-3) 1-5-08
Cathedral has beaten Lourdes, Denfeld and Little Falls thus fall. This win would solidify them being a top A team. Warroad has most of their top teams ahead of them.

I know absolutely nothing about Warroad but based on their record and who they've beaten I can see this turning out to be a good game. Cathedral's goal tending will be a question that will have to be answered.HShockeywatcher wrote:Cathedral has beaten Lourdes, Denfeld and Little Falls thus fall. I also don't know much about Warroad... Based on the class A games Cathedral has won I'm going to go with Cathedral in a close one 4-3. Mairers isn't starting agaist lake of the woods tonight so he should be well restred for Warroad but then again might be alittle stiff taking the day off. It should be a good game, I'm excited to see how it turns out.

i am very glad to see cathedral getting this kind of competition on their schedule...it doesnt make a lot of sense to play to make it to the state tourny but play week games all season long like they have in past years...or like what apollo is doing this year...i have to give the edge to warroad in this one...not even sure what the score will be....i hope i am wrong though and cathedral makes a true believer out of me...just sounds odd watching this program for so long and then thinking they will be able to beat some of thebest teams in the state in their class....so prove me wrong CHS...

Sounds like Maiers is stepping up his game and showing he'll can be a good varsity goaltender.
Can't be too upset with the loss for Cathedral. Only thing it could affect is the state tourney seeding if they both go.
Also hearing Ravendalen is a good player. I haven't seen him before and it's nice to hear the Huskies are getting another solid recruit.

Warroad controlled the first and third, let up some in the second. Cathedral had 2 or 3 PP's also, one 5-3 that Warriors killed off. Solid game by Cob, looked sharp all game, Warriors had many 2-1's, just didn't quite finish. Hebel, Hahn, and Pieper for the goals-first for Pieper this year, worth a 6 of Hamms at West acorrding to Dad.
