I am also sure they werent mouthing off to the cop because i have talked to them myself.

and as a side note the buffalo jv was off their game and was caught off gaurd because they had just put a beating on Monti 9-2

I also thought the Rogers introductions were very long and very dumb
And what team do you play for...

Very nice post by hockeyhoe IMHO, obviously biased (who isn't), but was able to separate nicely.

Hope to catch some Rogers games while I'm back home, from what I saw when they played Waseca, they have a long way to go. Hopefully they start clicking and can get some nice W's.

ER they are 4-3-1 and play Tonka at Tonka Sat.
The losses to MG(4-3), and Armstrong(4-1) were close games,(Armstrong was 1-1 with 4:50 remaining..ahhh meltdown!!) the loss to Coon Rapids7-2 should never have happened, they out shot them like 29-14 and it was basically a bad night for the goalies that played.
Beat Waseca, Monti, and Irondale, tied Buffalo, and then a win against North Metro tonight, where they played the 3rd line quite often.
They have a ways to go, but it's a lot of Jr's and a better schedule so things look OK. :D

I missed the first two periods of the Buf Rog game so I do not have anything to say about the fighting that happened. I would like to comment on what I did see from the third period on. There were a lot of bad calls and some big calls missed. I do not believe that Buff should have been down two guys for almost the whole overtime. Rogers definetely got away with some penalties too.

The Buff fans were acting a fool at the game and maybe went a little to far with their actions but Buff plays like their fans act. I have no idea what had happened with the police but watching those kids during the game I am sure they did not keep their mouth shut when asked to leave. I saw a student get on anothers shoulders and start yelling obscenities so I have no problem with him being thrown out.

Let's get back to hockey if Buffalo played every night like they were on FSN they might be able to strike some fear in their section but until they quite worrying about all the little things and just play the game they will struggle when they do not need to. Refs wil make bad calls but the more you act up and try to show refs up on the ice the more you will probably find yourself in the penalty box.

In closing I would like to say I am looking forward to the rematch. I am also hoping that that the game can be played between the two teams on the ice not in the PB. What a game it would be if the refs were not the focus.

everyone has played a few conference games...looks like Buffalo and Rogers are the teams to beat. Individually I have seen a player or two from each squad I think is good...what about everyone else...who are the best players in this conference?

ENOUGH WITH THE BISON WHINERS, like these kids have neve got penalties in thier life, jeez give it a break , look back to youth days and the same ones are gettiing the penalties, just because thier playing for the grand wizzard doesnt stop them from doing the same stuff they done all through thier careers, enough MOVE ON

No one is arguing that the bison have kids that tend to take penalties but if you haven't watched some of the games that we have recently played i don't think you can call us whiners since everyone here seems to agree that the reffing in a large majority of our games has been absolute garbage. So until you watch one of our games and see what we're talking about it would be appreciated if you don't talk about what you don't know.

ok is it Buffalo that ONLY gets bad officiating, I DONT think so, but if you look at this forum who is always complaining, the purple, ,the schools hire an officiating assn to cover its games, then this group assigns the games, the specific school does not enter in to it, heck the coach himself can even say he doesnt want a specific official to do his game. so why arent the nt complaining to the coach, he could have put YOUR bad officials on his list then you would get only his hand picked, Give it break and move on, everybody gets the same as you, dont think you that special that only the Bison get the bad ones

Are you going to tell me that when you spend an entire overtime down 5-3 and 5-4 that the reffing doesn't play a role in that. And we're not complaining just stating facts. What do we have to complain about when we're sitting at the top of the conference. Trust me we couldn't be happier right now. The views pretty good from the top.

Unpuckeyone- Why are you calling the Bison whiners and who is the grand wizard? Their have been two games where the reffing was questionable...Rogers and Mayo and pretty much everyone agrees..so what is you're beef specifically?

Sounds like you follow the Bison closely unpuckeyone...are you bitter about something? Speaking about moving on...maybe you should focus on your own team and quit obsessing about Buffalo? just a thought.

Unpuckeyone- I think their are others who complain about officiating...alot of others...of course in your state of confusion you are only able to focus on Buffalo...Your explaination about how officials are chosen is only partially the truth...coaches can refuse officials and they can request officials as well...Associations are in constant competition to keep schools so the Association itself is bias toward some schools...Look at Rochester...of you're not at least a little biased you will have to work at least 25 miles away...without much work to boot.

The question I asked in this thread was about standouts within the conference...not about the officiating...looks like once again you're the one complaining...

Don't pick on Buffalo or HOF gets sore. And everyone knows that can only lead to bad things.

All of you may have noticed a cease fire on CNT and my behalf...Want to know why? CNT is a genius compared to some who post on the M8 thread...

Monti's forfeit

Post by puckulence »

Just was looking through some scored for holiday tournaments and a question came up....why did Monticello have to forfeit their game on the 28th against north metro? Anyone out there with any answers?

STMA Knights

Post by gabby »

STMA Knights had a good win tonight against Monti. They won3-2. Were winning 3-0 with 8 minutes left than went two men down and Monti scored two PP goals to make a 3-2 game with 4 minutes left. STMA hung on to win. They have beat Cambridge and Monti and won last five games. They are improving but need to beat Rogers on Thursday to make the big step up.

See ya there...nice win  but Monty hasn't beat anyone that makes it a good win.

Monticello had a player disqualified in game one of the tournament, so he sat out game 2 and played game 3 against N.Metro. Problem was, he had a DQ earlier in the year already, so High School rules dictate he must sit out FOUR games for the second DQ. He didn't play in Monti's poor effort against STMA & he will miss their next loss to Buffalo.

Was he DQ'd for the five penalty rule both times this player was out or did he get the major for checking from behind?? And if that is the case how is he still on the team if he spends that much time in the box? Seems to me Monti needs to play more hockey and spend less time trying to goon it up. But hey if they want to give out that many power plays I guess people here won't complain about it.
