Section 8AA

Post by fiveforfighting »

With Brainerd having a great year, and a lot of talent, the Rams and Spuds also with great teams, and a couple of possible sleepers in Buffalo and Tech, who will pull it out in section 8AA

I still think Roseau is the clear cut favorite in this section with Brainerd and Moorhead at 2 and 3 and Buffalo and Tech below them at the 4th and 5th best teams in the section.
Ben Dover plays BOTH ways.

That's pretty much the way I see it.

1. Roseau
2. Moorhead
3. Brainerd
4. Tech (If they can play like they did in the GCC)
5. Buffalo

If you dont mind me asking, why is Buffalo behind Brainerd and Tech? I am not nitpicking but would like to hear some insight as I do not know much about 3-5 on your list. I do know that the only losses Buffalo has are to 3 very good teams in Wayzata, Moorhead and Cloquet (although they may be underachieving).

Buffalo is behind Brainerd because Brainerd also only has 3 losses on the year. Also to 3 good teams in Grand Rapids, Blaine, and Edina. But Brainerd tied Moorhead on the road, and then stomped Cloquet the next night in Brainerd 7-2. So that is why Brainerd is ahead of Buffalo. I don't see the reasoning behing Tech being ahead of them... Tech hasn't beaten anybody, and have lost several games as well.

Right Now I see it...
1. Roseau
2. Brainerd
3. Moorhead
4. Buffalo
5. Tech

With the 2nd meeting between Brainerd/Moorhead as the deciding factor between 2/3. Although, Brainerd has an outside chance at the #1 seed if they beat Moorhead, and Roseau in the next month(Both games @ Brainerd). Should be interesting down the stretch for those top 3 spots.

1. Roseau
2. Brainerd
3. Moorhead
4. Tech
5. Buffalo

Roseau is dominant

Brainerd has lost to 3 quality teams, plus the tie at Moorhead is like a victory.

Morinville from Moorhead will bully everyone around to try and get the #3 seed.

Buffalo is over rated. A loss to Wayzata is not a good loss. Wayzata is not good this year at all.

I think Tech is the sleeper of this section.

Why would Moorhead want to "Bully" people around to get the 3 seed? Then they would have to go to Brainerd. I don't get what you are thinking with that statement...

Tech lost to Sauk Rapids, I'll take a loss to Wayzata over a loss to Sauk Rapids. Buffalo 4, Tech 5.

1. Roseau - best team in state.
2. Brainerd - impressive last two games
3. Moorhead - beat buffalo 6-3 on road and has winning record against very tough schedule.
4. Buffalo
5. Tech - Last week was brutal for them.

Those are my top 5 rankings as well.

The way I see it 4-5 are pretty interchangeable and irrelevant since they're going to end up playing each other anyway.
