Duluth Denfeld vs Duluth East Who wins ??

Post by barnorthhockeyguy »

Should be a good game tuesday at the Decc. I think Denfeld will give East a good game and has a good chance of winning this time around. Your thoughts ?

East has struggled as of late, though i still believe the hounds are much better than the hunters, Denfeld may try to give East a run for their money but they are back at the DECC in front of the home crowd and this one wont get away.

East by at least 3, not because they are 3 better, but because I don't think Denfeld deep down after playing them through youth believe they can win! Otherwise I would say 1 goal game either way!

Can someone please confirm this game is at the Decc? I have the Heritage Center on my schedule and I will be in a hurry after work to get there. Thanks! Oh East 5-3 in a good one.

I think this is somewhat irrelevant, at least it was when I played for Denfeld. If anything, losing to them as much as we did through the youth ranks made us want to beat them even more.

I'm interested to see how this pans out. Both teams playing in their home rink so not much of a home team advantage here. I talked to a few of the Denfeld players and they want to win this one badly. Denfeld has to prove something to themselves, 5 losses thus far is not the start they were looking for. Beating Duluth East would dramatically increase momentum and confidence levels. Looking forward to watching this one!

The thing is, they said this game would be closer than in recent years last year. And it was actually more lopsided than the previous year...8-1 East.

Denfeld may be desperate to beat East, but East probably needs a win just as much at this point, so I don't think either team has an emotional edge. East in running time.

Why did he quit? Was he their starter?

Despite having backup goaltender Cooper in the goal.... The hounds managed to win 6-2 against the hunters..... im still trying to find out the story about Neil Larson Goalie quiting the team.... good win for the hounds but not looking forward to the GR game with the lack of experince in goal that Cooper has....... also not looking good for the rest of the tough season...... :?

Hounds-6
Hunters-2

Larson was not the starting goalie for the Hounds. The goalies, to my knowledge, were splitting time. After the Schwans cup Cooper was made the starting goalie. Coop will do just fine against Gr and for the rest of the season.

ok my bad i thought larson was starting goalie but i believe "and correct me if im wrong" Larson has had more ice time and more experince in goal than Cooper...which would make him a more solid goalie...

They both played in six games prior to tonight.
