7-2 Hornets - bold call
I'll make a bold prediction. Many people thought Edina would romp in most games and they are starting to have some one-sided wins over decent teams.
6-1 Brainerd, 8-2 Wayzata - with a 3-2 win over improving Centennial in between.
For some reason the Hornets haven't yet notched a shutout so I won't call for one here, but I will go out on the limb and take Edina 7-2 over Hopkins.
Obviously they have an excellent goaltender so it won't be easy to get 7. The depth of Edina may wear out Hopkins.

Be kind. Rewind.

Hopkins isn't the real deal. The only thing they have going for them is there goaltending. They were outshot against tonka something like 50-20 and outplayed the entire game; they clearly can't skate with the top teams in state. Fons can't stand on his head every game. My Prediction, Edina wins 5-1.komada77 wrote:Hopkins has proven that they are the real deal, but Edina just has too much talent. 4-3 Edina wins it.

Would't be sad if Edina lost to a team that is led in scoring by a player that was Pee Wee hockey last season? Travis Boyd an 8th grader is the REAL DEAL. I heard that Mike Fink came back to Hopkins and he's going to play on Saturday (I'm kidding, but won't that be fun!).
Hopkins has plenty of talent, they are just very young.

Following the 5:00 p.m. girls game of Edina-Hopkins (so around 7:00) The game is at Braemar, home of the Hornets.GinosAreGood wrote:what time and where is the game?

The way I understood it was the two JV games would be on the another rink and the two Varsity games would be on the big sheet. Maybe I heard wrong, or understood wrong.Go Flyers '76 wrote:I'm thinking the girls JV and Varsity and the boys JV and Varsity are at different rinks within Braemar because they slated for the same times. The boys' Edina-Hopkins JV is at 5pm. Usually, that's where I find a good seat for varsity.boblee wrote:Following the 5:00 p.m. girls game of Edina-Hopkins (so around 7:00) The game is at Braemar, home of the Hornets.GinosAreGood wrote:what time and where is the game?
