Bloomington Jefferson - Lakeville North

Post by goldenhockey20 »

Jags coming off two very nice wins againist eastview and grand rapids......let's see if they can keep the burners on and reel off these teams getting deep into the year, it's game like these you must win to take the conference but there is never a night off in the Lake, anyway my take:

Jags 4
Panthers 1

LN was playing better at the beginning of the year for one reason and that was goaltending. Early in the year when they were winning and competing in games it was because their goalies were playing very well. Together Matt Arentz and Dylan Thomas were keeping them in games. But since the trip to Hibbing it has been a different story and with LNs lack of scoring threats they cant afford to give up more than 3 goals a game most nights. I dont know who will start but Im guessing it will be Thomas because Arentz played last game, but if he plays well it will be close. If he lets in a softy or two then Jefferson runs away with it. Im going with he plays okay.

Jags-3
LN-1

Jefferson is the better team. They have better goaltending. They will win.

I dont know all the specifics but I know that Jefferson won 2-1. Tom O'Donnell scored once for BJ. Dylan Thomas played well in nets for LN. Nick Johnson scored for LN with very little time remaining in the second. Although its not a win LN obviously played much better than they did in Hibbing, against Roch. Century and LS. Anyone at the game that has more details?

The Jags came out a wiiner in this one 2-1, the score could have been higher in favor of Jefferson but North's goalie had a great game....The Jags controlled most of the game but play from both teams seemed to be sloppy at times. Anyway, at this point in the year a W is a W even if it was a bit ugly

Couple of tough tests for Jefferson coming up with both rosemount and b'ville on the horizon, if Jefferson comes away with both I don't see anyone but the Jags winning the Lake this year......
