Pretty sure he was upset about playing time and having to split with the younger guy.

As far as Cooper being ready...he makes dumb mistakes and plays sloppily, often leaving ungodly rebounds and being too aggressive when unnecessary, but he is VERY athletic. For the most part, his athleticism makes up for his inexperience, but this will be a big question coming into the home stretch with no Larson...

The rumors circulating the student section said that Larson quit due to playing time and being stuck behind a junior. His decision didn't go over well.

I think Cooper has more upside, but he scares me with the rebounds he allows and how far he ranges from the goal. Since they'd pretty much committed to Cooper, Larson isn't a huge loss, but it limits the options if he hits a rough spot down the stretch. Cooper certainly has shown potential, though he didn't look very good tonight.

East won ugly tonight. They came out somewhat flat and failed to capitalize on a number of scoring chances in the first two periods. Only in the 3rd did they play up to their potential, and hopefully they can carry that into Rapids. But an effort like tonight's will not get them a win on Thursday.

Denfeld must be the most inconsistent team I've seen play. They had short flashes of greatness followed up by missed passes, stupid penalties, and lack of special teams and breakout ability. If they continue to play like that they won't have any shot of getting out of their section. The only bright spot was solid goaltending. East looked to be the same old East. They're not a one-man squad. Great puck movement and they always find each other out there. It was obvious Denfeld doesn't have much to offer past their first line.

Definitely...they have no depth whatsoever. Behind Johnson-Stafne-Hotckin, the second line is young and the third line should just not be out there against a team like East.

After Trent Johnson on D, they looked weak. Skarman has size, but a terrible head on his shoulders. Took some stupid penalties along with many of the guys. The stupid penalties were the worst...Denfeld needs to work on the game between the ears...

Yeah the game between the ears has always been their problem. Lack of discipline - simply put. You'll never find that problem in a Randolph coached team so you decide where to point the fingers..

Very true. Randolph always runs a well-disciplined squad. Smalley on the other hand, quite the opposite. He was a mess on the bench tonight.
