Wayzata @ Moorhead Saturday,12th

Both teams have been up and down so far this year. Who do you think will be more up for this game?

A couple of Wayzata's JV players (including Terry Steinbach's kid) put up some decent numbers against Anoka last night in the varisty game, maybe they can spark some new life in the Trojans...

After they lose to the Spuds.

Moorhead - 4
Wayzata - 1

Moorhead should win. They're not nearly the team they have been in the last couple of years, but they're better than Wayzata.

Anybody would have put up good numbers against Anoka, particularly with the #2 goalie in net.

I don't care if it's #1, #2, #3, or whoever, I've long said Anoka is overrated, and the fact that a couple of JV guys ran over them proves the point.

Wayzata vs Moorhead

Post by notaclue »

A couple of Wayzata JV players? How do you get a couple when one JV player scored? Doesn't couple indicate more than one? The other played well but didn't get a point.

I don't have it in front of me at the moment, but I believe it's Holm who is listed on their own JV roster, and not varsity. Is that not correct?

I'll nail down the right name when I get home, but Steinbach had a goal and assist, and another JV kid (according to their own roster) an assist on a different goal, I'm positive.

If your recount of the game is accurate, Holm who is/was a JV player did have an assist. I stand corrected.

Moorhead

I am surprised the shots were not wose. Complete domination by Moorhead. Best I have seen them play this year. They had a ton of great opprotunities. Wheeler played a great game along with a handfull of others.

I'm surprised this wasn't double digits.
Wayzata is down this year.
