Austin Wetmore

The standout senior forward from Holy Angels tore his ACL and MCL last night in the win at Northfield. Done for the season, lets hope thats as bad as it gets. The hits just keep coming for AHA this year.

Good luck Wetmore!

I just heard this too, the rest of the season we'll be watching next year's team. Just a couple seniors left on the team...

That is a HUGE kick to AHA..got the chance to watch this kid play at the Rosemount AHA game and he is a fantastic player. He has to be one of AHA's leading players as a captain..looks like others will need to step up.

Sorry to hear..and good luck with the recovery!

I wasn't at the game last night, so I didn't see. If anyone knows what happened, post it.

Now I really hate my new schedule. I have missed out on four games so far this year and now this happens. I am sorry that Wetmore is done for the season, he is one of the better skaters and stick handlers in the state. AHA will need to step up the play without him.

If someone knows what happened please post it here.

Sorry to hear this about Austin. This is not only a outstanding hockey player & student. He is one of the nicest kids around. Good luck in the rehab process.

If he truly tore both the AC and MC ligaments, he is going to have a very long and difficult recovery. What shame. Best wishes to Austin in his recovery.

I got some more info on what happened. Apparently it was a knee to knee hit that did it... don't know if it was intended or not.

Austin is going to St. Olaf next year, but he has roughly a 6-8 month recovery ahead.

Good luck!
