NFL Playoffs

Post by Irishmans Shanty »

After seeing JAX's first TD in slow motion replay, I see a big advantage to teams who wear dark pants. You can't tell if the knee is touching the ground. Gerard's knee could have been down but with the dark pants on dark turf, I couldn't tell.

Note to Viking Mgmt: Wear the purple pants at least 16 times next season.

Great win for Green Bay today after what looked to be a DEVASTATING start.

I usually can't sit through a random NFL game but playoff football is different.

JAX goes 95 yards to "square up" with the Pats.

Nothing better in sports than seeing somebody go toe to toe with a top seed when it counts.

I just saw a perfectly executed, but difficult pass for touchdown by San Diego that a QB must make and a reciever must catch to win a Super Bowl. The Vikings have neither the QB nor reciever rostered right now that can do this.

I am from Minnesota/San Diego (navy kid).

The Giants and Bolts are to banged up to make much of a noise this next round. Also this Sunday in Green Bay the high is supposed to be 8, kickoff is at 5:30 pm, a good chance the temperature is below zero much of the game. Ahhh it brings back memories of Viking/Cowboy or Viking/Ram playoff matchups from the old Met.

On FSR last night the paid mouths were talking about a potential Green Bay/ New England Superbowl match up and even though New England shold win, they said the one team you can't game plan against very well is Green Bay because Favre can make any throw and does whatever he pleases. Belicheck being the master planner will really have to come up with something to stop GB. The flip side is New England has the best offense in the history of the NFL so stopping GB should be irrevelent.

I disagree. I think (A #1) If the Giants can beat the Giants, they can beat the Packers, (B #2) The sexier matchup would be GB, since they have not played the Pats yet, and (C #3), I don't think that anyone can beat the Patriots.Brady doesn't get the same praise that Favre does, but there is no way he is better (or in a better situation- for those who don't think that Brady is not that great- he is) than Brady.

I think our friend just violated Minnesota law.

the nervous system, brain, or muscles of the person so as to substantially impair the person's
ability to post properly;
(4) when the person is under the influence of a combination of any two or more of the

Wow. Slightly Embarrassing. Any credibility that I had was immediately killed.

To make it clear, I was sober and in Wisconsin- which makes that post less excusable.

Sorry. A #1 should have been- if the Giants beat the Cowboys, they could beat the Packers.

C #3 was a train wreck on the way to the Green Bay Can't Beat NE because Brady is Better than Favre Station.

I apologize for my stupidity.
