Pick the best High School defensemen of these 3 choices

Post by snapdog »

Pick who you think was the best defensemen in High School of these 3 choices. Phil Housley South St. Paul, Henry Boucha Warroad, Aaron Ness Roseau. Remember this has nothing to do with college or pro just high school. My vote gos to Henry Boucha. There was so many great players in his era and the standing joke was he could skate faster backwards than any of his competitors could forward. Only problem it was no joke!
Do I have to shadow Pavelich again coach?

He's a lousy coach, but a great player. Phil Housley with out question. I'm sorry but it's bit early to be putting Aaron Ness in this class don't you think?

I got the Bob Sansevere book "Best Minnesota Sports Arguements" for Christmas. In it, he names his Minnesota hockey dream team. At defense he had Jordan Leopold and John Mariucci. His honorable mentions were Mike Ramsey, Mike Crowley and Todd Richards....... I couldn't believe I didn't see Phil Housley, Henry Boucha or Reid Larson even mentioned. Nice work, Bob.

Anyway, It's got to be Housley.

Acorrding to the 3 wiseman of Salol, Henry was and is the best they have every seen in MN high school hockey. Between the three wise men they have 135 years of watching hockey.

I,on the other hand am to young and never got to see him play, but after he hung him up I will say he is probably the best defensemen in the state to party with also. :D

I couldn't agree more its a little early lets see what the kid has in store for the rest of the season. Also it kind of hard to overlook the pro and college careers.

I'll take Phil any day
