Many and depends on who is playing. My experience is that AAA teams are fluid. Players are moving from team to team frequently. Its the wild west.

Last year's Jr. Whitcaps seemed to have a good number of USA National team members, and were the best IMO. As OTE said the rosters of these teams change a lot from year to year.

Very few do try outs to speak of. Most are hand picked or word of mouth kind of teams.

There are a number of U19 metro teams that are playing again from last year and beginning to register for tournaments/leagues.

Ice Cats (2 - U19 and U19/U16)
Walser (maybe 3 at the U19 level - Bill Quinn)
Jr. Whitecaps (I don't think they are starting until July? - Chris Peterson - this is the best group by design)
Saint Croix Saints (Kip Pendleton)
Extreme (Rick Ness)
Extreme 92 (Jim Vogl)
Wild (Tim Olson)
Schwan (John Barton)
Shooting Stars (Dave Brausen)

I am sure there are others both in the metro and outstate.

I understand Extreme, St. Croix Saints, Walser, and an OS team that Winny helped form with two teams (collection of players from John Barton's and Jim Vogl's teams) are going to play in the Two Nations Female Hockey League. The Blades (Frank Mork's Ice Cat team from last year), Wild, Rush (Rick Hill) are playing in the league also.
