Darn homers!jetjock wrote: One more thing, was I the only one that noticed towards the end, it was 4 on 4 with each team having a player in the box, Austin scored (with time left on both penalties), and the refs let our player out, giving us a power play. Generally they are teachers or school staff members.
Section 1A 2007-8
Moderators: Mitch Hawker, east hockey, karl(east)
Or even parents, as is the case in AL. It's just ANOTHER example of the "officials" doing everything they can to help Faribo stay in the game.Mac15 wrote: Generally they are teachers or school staff members.

BTW
AL 9
East 0
I can't wait for Thursday's game.

No falcons, the whole crowd noticed. I talked to the Fairibault coaches after the game, and looked at the scoresheet. It was a reffing screw up. Fortunately it had no effect on the game. I have not talked to Bray yet, but I would assume that there was to much going on with the both benches complaining and then the bench minor and neither of the Austin assistants noticed.Mac15 wrote:This could easily be confirmed by looking at the scoresheet. Who was reffing? Was the crowd working them over the whole game or was it just bad during this little incident? How many years does it take before you get to do high school games? I could use the extra money for retirement. Do they need kinda fat old dudes?

Sure...I'll pick you up.
Your cane goes in the penalty box, but might get stolen/broken if you make a bad call

Quote from KH to AL coach before the Austin game tonite...
"They will have a "high flyer" (cherry picker) all night long. We need to defend against that..."
So much for that----Austin pulls off 9 breakaways...
Great job by the Packers and their coaches !!!
Go Pack (I smell the State Tournament)!!!!!

Don't forget the 2 SH goals! I wish they could decline penalties! That has to be double digit SH goals against on the season.Twinnesota wrote:Quote from KH to AL coach before the Austin game tonite...

Unbelievable!!! I thought you guys were messing with me. I did not see Jet's report, so I figured these posts lacked creditability. Austin beat AL 7-3? Amazing.
As Twinnsota's half brother Bill Clinton would say, " AL I can feel your pain."
Not really!!!
Thanks for the scouting report tinysota. I will be sure to pass it on to our coaches on how to beat the 07-08 AL, Alltime, Allstate, Allstar team. ( yes we do have quality coaches) I see an opportunity for Faribault.
So Austin is now the obvious 1 seed and Waseca the 6. Everything else is wide open.

Tayler is a great player but don't sell short Wagner, Swancutt, Arhart, Stanek, Larson to mention a few of a very stable offense. Our defense grows stronger by the game with Ellingson, Moline, Klapprick and Borland. We are very much looking forward to Sections and the challenges that await.
RSI wrote:I'm leaning toward AL or Faribo. Austin may surprise a few people this year, Jenkins is a pretty good player and just might be able to carry her team...
1. Albert Lea
2. Faribo
3. Austin
4. Northfield
5. Red Wing
6. Waseca
Only 8 months away...

My projected seeds and final records.
Did this last year about this time.
#1 Austin 15-10 (12-8 now) West and Mayo have their number
#2 Albert Lea 17-8 (13-6 now) May be a stretch to expect 4 more wins
#3 Faribault 11-14 (8-11 now) Good job Buzzards
#4 Northfield 9-16 (8-12 now) By Stark alone
#5 Red Wing 6-19 (5-15 now) Sorry, Charlie
#6 Waseca 5-17 (3-14 now) Scrappers
So then, AL would get to play the winner of FB and Waseca
Austin would play the winner of NF and RW
Anybody else?
