1988 Metro player of the year: Tom Pederson, Bloomington-Jefferson
Jefferson had so many outstanding players over the years. They were fun to watch. I didn't get to see Eric Johnson in high school.
But Pederson dominated on defense. If they needed offense no one could stop him rushing up the puck. Great slapshot. Hard slapshot.
Went on to play for the Gophers and played some pro hockey.

Life's simple, but some insist on making it hard

1988 what a year. Pederson was good but it looks like Sean Hill was the best that year. Olimb got Mr. Hockey but that was when you had to be a Gopher recruit or you couldn't win. This was so long ago they didn't have the Frank Brimsak award so Chad Erickson had to finish runner-up to his teammate instead. Many years Tommy's teammate could have won the award. I feel old.BoogeyMan wrote:1988 Metro player of the year: Tom Pederson, Bloomington-Jefferson
