Like no Checking, lifting of puck...ect. since most don't wear pads.

Does the origin have anything to do with what you guys were using for pucks back then?

Anyone bringing beverages must assume that those beverages cooling in the snow are community beverages. So no crying when your once full soda is now empty.

Does this act also require the bottom hand to flip over so the thump is pointing towards the opposite direction of the blade

1) If you make the crappy pass that goes to the other side of the lake, you have to go get it, and/or If you wing the puck outside of the rink into the snow, you have to go get it.
2) If you fail to keep your head up and move the puck, you deserve whatever's coming to you.

RE: Cow handing
We did use other 'things' for pucks at that age
IS---didn't have a thump.... but yes you could use any means at your disposal to get the puck/other substance in the air

Well in hockey sometimes you have to improvise. Like in this picture from the Johnson STP program.

Rule 5. Don't be a Spehar.....there can be only one!
And if you try to imitate him, (floater) your fair game for a slash to the back of the leg by someone who actually tried.

Bottom line is there is no rules, just go out and kick the other teams Ass. It also wouldn't hurt to have a couple of young guys on your team.
