Who will win the lake

Post by WarriorMacDaddy39 »

No team is a current lock yet yes, Rosemount is currently 1st and just beat B. Jefferson 4-1 but they still have EP Burnsville and Eastview With Burnsville Having a goalie back McDuff Gustavson (Spell Check) and I'm not sure but I think another person they might come back Jefferson may but they will need to take down some solid teams to get back in the race EP is still in there and if some teams beat EV they will have a tough time getting back in.

The top 5 teams are all very good. Defense & goaltending win championships, thats why Evil Prairie will probably win the lake. If Rosemount or B'ville gets a hot goalie they could also take the title, because both are very explosive. EV also explosive but no chance of a goalie getting hot and the Jags are just to young.

bottom line, there are 5 very good teams. I thinks its almost impossible to predict how each game will come out, the only thing is that ANY team in the lake can win on ANY night, so I look forward to every game.

Yeah (and Im being serious now), Kennedy is even playing alot better than they were at the beginning of the year. They are playing smart and playing hard. I think they're going to get a W by the end of all this. And it would be awesome if it was against EP, EV, BV, BJ, or RM.

Awesome for Kennedy, and it would prob knock a team out of the Lake conference title contention.

looks like burnsville is gaining some momenttum with a blow out against lakevillenorth. Rosemount struggles with apple valley but pulls out a 5-3 win. Lake conference is getting tight

5-3 game was with an EN for Rosemount, a short-handed goal and valley tipping it by their own goalie. To bad would have really mixed things up.

I did hear JT had a pretty nice goal though.

As expected all the big dogs came out with a win tonight with a blowout of a win for B'ville, Rosemount pullin one out againest Valley and Jefferson totally outplaying and outshooting Chaska 3-1.....the score suggests it was closer than it really was but the Jags should have pounded a few more in but just didnt get the bounces

Alright....i went through the top 5 contendor's in the Lake (Irish, Jags, EP, East, Blaze) and went through their schedule's and this is how i see the Lake panning out at the end of the year......

Lake Conference Standings:
1) Rosemount 16-4
2) Jefferson 15-4-1
3)Eden Prairie 15-4-1
4)Burnsville 15-5
5)Eastview 13-6-1

Can't wait to see how it really turns out...all i know is that all these top 5 teams have games left with each other so there are gonna be some marqee match-ups coming up pretty soon...... :D

Just a quick note on the AV/ROSE game. There was really no flow to the game what so ever. Just a bad game for the Irish, pulled through with the victory. Never a good time to take a night off, which it seemed they did, but luckily it was against a weak team.

I also heard the same thing. One of the Rosemount players told me after the game that he just didn't like the game overall. And I will quote that he also said "there was really just no flow to it....it really just sucked..." Then he followed up with "I suppose we did get the win, but it was nothing to be proud of" (not an exact quote, but very close).

Every team has those down games, lucky they were playing one of the weaker teams in the lake. Maybe they were tired from their tv appearance on Sports Wrap. Percy seemed like a good spokeman for the team on the show.

If you look at what happened in the Lake, all the top teams just won and all the bottom teams lost. The top 5 at least did not shift because all of them got a W. I think the EP .V. BJ games, which there are still both of them left, will really play a crucial role in who wins the Lake.

Well only 4 of the 5 top teams played, EV had a off night (No Game). So Bville did shift up a spot, and EV moved into 5th because of the off night.

GAMES TUESDAY FOR THE TOP 5:

Burnsville @ Lakeville South
Earlier meeting won 7-1 by the Blaze. 7 different players scored for them. This time around Burnsville is playing some good hockey. South has a goaltender that can keep it close. Outcome: Blaze win 4-1.
Eastview @ Eden Prairie
Earlier meeting won by Bolts in OT. The roads had EP on the bus for 2-3 hours, EV got good play from Krob that night. EP has good D, EV has 1 line that does most of its scoring. Outcome: Eagles win 5-3.
Kennedy @ Jefferson
Earlier meeting Jags took it 6-1. Easiest game for any of the 4 that play on Tuesday. Outcome: Jags win 6-1 again.
Rosemount
Gets to enjoy the night off.

That was my first thought for how they played. They were probably up at the TV station until fairly late.

If that is the case..which it probably shouldnt be but that could be one of the reasons, but not to make excuses for them I was told it was a very sloppy game with horrible officialing. Good thing for the night off and then a tough game ahead with Eastview.. final game for the Irish for section seeding to go unbeaten in section 3AA

Only some of the show is recorded earlier, most of it is actually filmed live. The Irish were at the KSTP studio until around 11:30 pm, meaning they wouldn't get home until about midnight.

Right, because they had to meet over at the rink at 9 something to go up there on the bus.

Either way they will get some needed rest to prepare for this saturday when they host Eastview.
