Babineau from Roseville, she's going to hopefully sign a D-1 tender somewhere and you all are going to wonder who she is. Not flashy, but an unstoppable motor.

Is that very likely for any senior at this late?

There is a senior goalie who plays for Moose Lake/willow river. I believe her last name is Borchardt. I seen her at CODP festival and if I remember correctly she was terriffic. However she plays for a pretty obscure team with minimal exposure. I mention this becuase how many kids are out there that have the skill but lack the exposure. We all know the big names but unfortunately there are some kids out there that will never be in the running because of their lack of exposure. Anybody know if this kid is she as good as she looked over the summer.

It is. I am assuming that there are alot of seniors out there that were offered tenders at schools that may not have been their first choice, but, are now, more than ever, looking at those schools as their only option since they haven't heard from the schools they were hoping to.

yes she is. she plays smart and confident and doesnt get down on herself when she makes a mistake. she is dedicated, too, driving an hour and a half to get to CODP three times a week this summer

Won't D1 coaches hold scholarship offers open for just a short period of time so they are not left holding the bag?

Park listed her and played her at D for the first 3-4 games and then switched her to forward for the next 3-4 games. The last couple of games Daggit has been back on D. She'll play wherever ever the coaches ask her to.

there's a D-1 player that signed early that has literally dropped off the face of the earth. How come nobodys talking about this player? Is she not as good as she was touted?

Daggit is doing fine! It's usually hard for a "D" to get recognition on team that is struggling. Daggit will do well at St. Cloud. She is that good that's why she signed early.

I've heard through the rumor mill that Babineau of Roseville has accepted offer at Bemidji State joining fellow Raiders Cody and Dorr. Can anyone out there confirm??

Great for Babineau, she is a very good player. It still surprises me that Stillwater's Schwab isn't signed by a D1 school.

Did you try talking to your coach? I am almost positive he would be receptive towards sucking a big fat one...

On a serious note BSU has a nice class coming in. Vichorek from CEC, Wheelhouse from Crookston, Babineau from Roseville, and Erickson from GRG.

Pretty good! BSU will be a darn good team with Sertich. Hopefully they get a new venue!!!!

Minneapolis Novas, hockey
A varsity forward since eighth grade and a team captain since 10th, McMullen, now a senior, is the Novas' leader on and off the ice. Last week she had two goals and an assist in a 3-1 victory over St. Paul Blades and scored both goals in a 2-1 victory over Visitation/SPA on Saturday in game that was played outdoors.

Congrats to Ms. Bacon on athlete of the week. We all would be proud if our daughter got that honor. But I must say, look who she got the goals against. 4 goals and 1 assist vs #69 AA, Cooper and 3 goals and 3 assists vs #29 A, St louis Park. Hardly a tough venture. Looks like she is friends again with her teamates. Maybe the Tribune should look a little harder for athlete of the week! Just my opinion.

Granted the competition wasn't the greatest but give her some credit - 11 points in two games isn't too shabby against anybody. And she did make the USA U18 team (scoring three goals in their recent tournament at Calgary) - how many other Minnesota girls can make that claim?
