2-2
Eastview dominated the play in the 1st. Holding EP to 6 shots i believe; they should have scored 5 goals but the EP goalie came up with a few unbelieveable saves and EV missed a couple open nets. The second was the complete opposite EV was dominated and the goalie for EV kept them in the game --- It was 1-0 EV after 2 periods. Then it seemed the me the EV defense began to make silly mistakes, not picking up guys in front of the next and letting the EP offense get to lose pucks in the D Zone. The EV Defense cost them their next 2 goals --- one was on a tip that should have been picked up by the future UND defenseman. When it looked like the game was coming to a close EV;s Perry came up with a huge goal to tie the game with under 5 minutes remaining. They went to OT and EV was outshot 8-3 in the extra time with both teams hitting the Iron once they ended in a Tie. Both goalies in Stypula and Krob played phenomanal and had a combined 70 saves. EV did outshoot EP 38-36 but played sluggish in the last 2 periods of the game. Both can be real threats to go deep into the postseason from what I saw.
