It's this:

Rochester Century at Mankato East, 7:30
Rochester Mayo at Mankato West, 3:00

As of now:

1. Lourdes
2. Albert Lea
3. West
4. Red Wing
5. New Prague
6. Northfield
7. La Crescent
8. Faribault

1-3 could switch with head to head play and 4-6 could switch with head to head play. If Red Wing beats AHA, Hermantown, NP and Northfield I can see even a 1 or 2 seed for them.

The times have been changed due to a local 'social' conflict:

West vs Mayo at 1:00

East vs Century at 3:00

Actually it is the other way around
1:00 East/Century
3:00 West/Mayo That game time did not change.

Apparently West even runs up the score after the game!!!! Score was 11-1  Was it the first or second line that scored after the game.

Litchfield scored an asst at 4:15 in the 3rd, already had the hat trick. Bruggeman scores at 16:25 in the 3rd. What, no 4th line that could have been on the ice.
They may be trying to get Litchfields points up more being he is only one ahead in scoring as of the 23rd.
Where was Leivermann, no scoring or still sitting???

This section is so awesome compared to the past couple of years. I was suprised that AL is good this year. I don't know what it is they must recruit from Iowa or something but it seems like even when their best players leave they don't lose any scoring. I just hope that West does not win this section. The coach must be trying to send a message to Lievermann because this is his 4th game on the bench. Go Falcons!

Lievermann is suspended. That is old news. 1 more game.

Albert Lea has a good program. Believe it or not, there are good programs in places other than northern minnesota and the metro.

Don't be surprised next year when they have a solid team again.

AL constantly surprises and is a top 1-3 seed every year. Credit the youth program and Nysytrom.

End of year projections:

1. West- all 3 tough remaining games at home
2. Lourdes- could easily be 1
3. AL- nearly impossible to beat at home, I think West will take rematch
4. Red Wing- lack of similar opponents leaves them a step behind
5. New Prague
6. N-field
7. Faribo- say what ya want bout Lacrescent...but in the end coaches have a tough time voting highly on a team they have never seen play
8. Lacrescent

My bad I don't check this everyday. And yes I was giving AL a compliment I agree they have a good program. I will throw this in there that the officiating in their barn is always always bad. I found it odd that a coach would bench his best player in his senior year for 4 games.

I saw AL play their last two games, they are looking like a contender again. Lourdes and Red Wing still doing major damage and look strong, and West playing very well without their top gun. If someone other than one of these 4 teams make it to state I will be very surprised. Sections are going ro be very fun to watch this year. Congrats 1A you have a VERY strong section.

SE MN, I see Lacresent won again last night. Talking to some West people last night, they said they were in your Tournament a couple years back. Said something about nicknameing your coach, "Coach Shrek" (must be the big guy). Things must be turning aroud there, they weren't to positive about the tournament and the team back then, but it seams like they are having a good year now and things might be changing.

Best of luck and we will be following you guys.

Thanks for the support Jim. Groth (The Big Guy) is a little over the top. Klingsporn has tempered that some.

We are having a great season compared to past La Crescent teams. Unfortunately the games we are playing are not getting us ready for sectionals. I think if Klingsporn would have had the team the last several years, we would be playing much tougher competition right now. Klingsporn has been trying to pick up some tougher games this year, but it has not materialized yet.
I also heard a rumor that the coach for Lacrescent quit, is this true?
Why would a coach quit half wat through the season with a 14-3 record?
No way, Something is gotta be up, SO MN or LAC1421 whats UP?

bstarr. have you not followed this thread. West dresses 10 forwards, nine the last few games since Leivermann is out. If you take 9 divided by 3, that equals three lines so no 4th line unless you want to play 4 against 5 in which they could play 4 set of forwards. Any way, quit bashing West for rolling three lines. If one of their top line guys score late it the game, so be it. Take a look at AL boxscores and you will see plenty of their top guys scoring late in the game.

Another one that does not bother to look back in this thread. Leivermann was not BENCHED. He is serving a 4 game MSHSL imposed suspension for having 2 checking from behind misconducts. Mayo is the last game he will miss. So far West has taken care of business without him. Mayo game will be a good test.

It's fun to listen to all the people bash West....They are the same people that argue that West isnt the real deal and don't view them as a threat in the 1A. All you people need to stop hating and get on the wagon before it leaves you behind.

It's hard to give West a lot of credit for some people because from MULTIPLE people on here, I have heard that the players have little class. It is also hard to give West a lot of credit because of their schedule. If they played a tough schedule, their record would be way different. I just haven't seen West play and beat a top team in Class A.

I hope you don't get run over by your own wagon when you fall off at the State Tourney.

You are under the assumption that they will get through Albert Lea, Lourdes and Red Wing in order to even GET to the state tournament!

I don't know if you are from Mankato, but I do know you owe an apology to some Mankato West players who worked VERY hard over the summer and during the season. Unfortunately because the way the program is set for the year there is no 4th line. NOT because the players on JV don't work!!!!
