Chaska Bantam A

Post by Hockey Guru »

Chaska Bantam A.

I've watched a scrimmage or two on this team

They played Mahtomedi and beat them 4-3
They played Maple Grove and Tied 1-1.

Will they be good this year?

Guru- How good was the goal tending? Is Chaska an offensive team or defensive team? How good a team is Mahtomedi?

Actually, where is Mahtomedi?

Chaska is now mostly a defensive team.

Having loss already 2 players.

Mahtomedi is supposed to be ranked in the Top 10. And they have the best kid in Bantams. Ben Marshall.

Did two players get injured? Or did some kids leave the program? Will this group do some damage in high school?

Nope went to the Fire. Also I thought the goalie went to Holy Family.

Let's see how Chaska does within it's own district. They had a very close game with Eastview and a big loss to Shakopee. If Chaska is a "defensive" team and cannot shut down average to below average teams there is no way they will go beyond district play.

In Bantam A last year Shakopee won 2 games which were against Prior Lake and Kennedy the two last place teams in the league. In Peewee A Shakopee didnt win a game they went 0-16. So anyways in my opinion Chaska has to prove themselves with some quality wins before you can go around talking about how good they are and that they are going to go beyond district play.

Not really, no one amazing.

Matt LaPrade is trying out for Holy Family Varsity and is a definite make on that team. So otherwise goal tending isn't a + for us. And there is no one on our B1 team that could make a step up and be stellar.

Yes he is on Holy Family Varsity (had a very good tryout and scrimmages- should be #1 at HF) and there is a second A goalie this year.
They're in good shape yet.

I wonder how Chaska will do in this E.P. tourney this weekend.... THere are some good teams in that tournament. They play centennial, woodbury, and wayzata.

I don't want to make pessimistic opinions about my team but.

We can only hope for the best. =[

He said they were not bad

not good.

It could mean two different things, they're still at the bottom, unfortunately they might not be THAT far on the bottom.

They lack any sort of superstars though, so don't expect anything from them. Besides a win to Chaska here and there :)

actually they dont have Ben Marshall anymore, he is playing varsity. And they are definately not a top ranked team. I watched them play White Bear and got beat 9-0
