AHA vs. Minnetonka

Post by stars612 »

Today at 2:30 at Richfield. AHA has been playing better as of late with the win over Hill and the trip out east. Minnetonka is the #1 team in the state. It'll be a tough one for the Stars. Predictions?

I'll start us off,

7-1 Stars
Third times a charm.

Minnetonka is a paper champion, they haven't beaten anybody.

If the Stars win it will be as big an upset as beating Hill. But this should be a great matchup between one of the best offensive players against arguably the best d guy. Plus the Skippers have 3 or 4 guys from the Elite league. I hope my Stars will keep it close. 2 - 2 tie prediction, Boerger stands on his head.

I am going to have to say that AHA will win. This is a big game the STARS, since the Schwan's cup AHA is 7 - 0 - 1 with wins against Hill and MSC in Rhode Island and their conference. This game will be a tough game, but will show the character of AHA and Minnetonka. I am excited to see Gardiner from tonka, a lot of scouts should be here for the game to watch him. If AHA plays their game, then I can see a close 3 - 2 or less game. Either way, these games are fun to watch.

Tonka is on its 3rd game of arguably their hardest 4 game stretch all year (they dont really play anybody weak, so every four games are tough) and they have played well through the first two. Holy angels has also played extremely well since the schwann's cup and i think they will put up a good fight against the skippers. In the end though i like Minnetonka to continue its winning ways in a 5-3 game. should be a good one to watch for those in attendance

Why does this not surprise me? :D While I think the other guys will skate away with the W, it should be a good game. Enjoy it Zamman. We'll get to see just how much improvment has went on.

With Trebil having the last line change and being able to isolate Mattson agaist whoever he wants, I'll go with the Stars 5-3. Should be fun.

I'm planning on attending this clash. I haven't been to Richfield arena in years. Is this going to be a sellout or is getting there at gametime OK?

Richfield, like it says in the first post.

Goldy will be there, sporting his team neutral green hat.

Tonka scores two late goals. Matson from AHA with the hat trick. At one point AHA had 3 goals on 7 shots. Tonka's weakness looked like their goaltending. Webb from AHA made some very nice saves to keep AHA in it in the first period. No doubt who the better team in this one was.

Nice post...

This game was a lot closer in score than the fianl shows. AHA was in this game till about 5 min to go in the game. Tonka played a great first period getting some shots, Webb for AHa played great. STARS made the most of their shots getting 3 goals on 7 shots. AHA is still improving with their young team. Tonka looked good and I think will win the Section 6 crown.

Not quite that simple, but I agree to an extent Tonka was better tonight. The game was in doubt until about 4 minutes to go and AHA had quite a few chances to tie in the early third.

AHA ran out of legs in this game. They played last night and that didn't help them much today as really they only skated 2 lines for most of the game.

Tonka is very, very good team. Size and speed.

Overall it was an excellent game to watch. Both teams were really skating.

Danny Mattson was the best player on the ice BY FAR.
