I guess I'll be there. This game shouldn't be that intense. Just kidding, I wouldn't miss this game for anything. It's going to be a very intense game. Fans will be crazy, band will be great, and the players on both side will be ready to play a tough battle. I can't wait until 7:30.

I guess we will have to wait and see....

I think Rosemount being home and having last change will help them out a lot.

I think EV's 1 and 2 line can compete with rosemounts defense for sure

And this is why Rosemount is hated when they are successful. They split the season series. So neither team really has anything on each other
yah correct but losing mcmanus for those ten minutes didnt help out the team at all and jefferson had a full head of steam and ran away with the game...
full head of steam? they lost their second best forward (Herbert is a more valuable player than McManus)

Herbert certainly could be the second best forward but I think it would be hard to give him that label when he had only played one varsity game.

HERE IS YOUR RECAP

Post by HockeyGuy1515 »

ROSE 4-2 with an en goal. ----- Game was pretty evenly matched once JT Brown came back from his 10 min misc. penalty. The funniest thing in the game was the supposed shot total that the old man in the box came up with. I was sitting at center ice counting the shots and here is what I had by period.

EV - 10-13-13 - 36 Shots --- the board had 42 for EV
Rose - 5-13-9 - 27 Shots --- the board had 21 for Rose

In this fact the game was a lot closer than the box score will show tomorrow; EV didn't really dominate play after JT came back it seemed like the Rosemount offense woke up and started playing well as the lines were put back together. I think it would have been fun to see this game go to OT but Rosemount score a SH goal that solidified the fact that number 11 from EV should have been painted orange tonight. He was soley responsable for 2 of the Rosemount goals and really hurt his team tonight. On the game winner he was one on one going for a big hit and completely missed the forward who scored on a goal that tipped up in the air of the goalies glove.

Looks like this might be the matchup for the section championship but EV should take note that Rosemounts goalie is not all he is cracked up to be --- most of the shots were taken on dump in and the others came out of nowhere. . .

WHAT DID EVERYONE ELSE THINK . . . .

The move porter pulled was straight up sick he embarassed number 11 on EV i still thought morgan played a pretty terrific game EV wont make state because they dont have the goaltending to get them through sections if JT was there the whole 1st period this could have been a different game. but this matchup sure will be exciting come sections time.

Hockeyjunkie this ones for you:

Here is my completly honest feedback:
Rose started out quick, hitting the post on the first shot. They were rolling pretty good for the first 45 seconds..until they started getting hit and then they got frustrated. Brown, not impressed one bit with his play tonight. EV completely dominated the play throughout the whole game. Out shot them 43-20. EV had 15 scoring chances, and it only hurt themselves that they couldnt score. EV's first line was much better than ROse's this game. The line of Maloney, Perry, Larson payed amazing. Jared Larson was the best player out their tonight. The ref's missed some calls both ways, and it was a very physical game during andafter the whistle. Rose had some cheap shots, ex brown throwing a punch behind the play, percy hitting guys from behind... This was a very good game, and completely sold out. It doesnt matter that EV dominated, because in the end Rose won. If these two teams meet again, which could very well happen, My money is one EV.

Not impressed with: Fienhage, Peters from EV
McManus and Brown from Rose.

MVP of the game: Morgan goalie from Rose, Larson from EV

EV wont make state because they dont have the goaltending
Agreed that goaltending isn't their strength, but Krob only let up one iffy goal-the 3rd one that was shorthanded off his glove kind of screened.

exciting game, I was kinda scared the first period tho. Rosemount wasn't really playing their game and EV had alot of steam. Mitch Markiewicz' hit that put the EV player over the rosemount team boards was simply awesome. pushed him all the way over AND his stick got broken. Best hit ive ever seen at a live hockey game.

Eastview give them a run, Rosemount just kept countering it and coming back for more.

Great game, great rivalry.

Agreed, couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere for a HS hockey game. Very intense, and a awesoem rivalry. EV just lacked the "finishing" tonight. Would of liked to see them play 3 more periods.

How did you like Markiewicz' hit tonight? Markiewicz was #7
