I find it hard to believe that you think that last goal was questionable . . . I played tender, and when you have a defensmen squared up with the forward and he completely misses its tough to get any leather on shots you have a split second to see . . . In the games i have seen it seems like the defenders take too many risks leading to some of these questionable goals.

I have to agree with Hockeyguy1515, the shots were off by a lot. This is how I look back on the game, Rosemount got outplayed in the first period BY FAR! If Morgan hadn't shown up this game could have easily been 3-0 by the end of the 1st. BUT in the 2nd and 3rd Eastview did play well but I dont believe they dominated because Rosemount outscored Eastview in the last two periods. Now Stev16 I dont know where you saw the Brown punching kids after the play and I REALLY dont know where you got the percy checking kids from behind could you remind me when you saw this? The game was VERY intense and it was a fun game to watch! And as far as EV's firstline and Rose's first lines went I think they were pretty even as they were both +2 on the goals. Will agree the players of the games for each team were Morgan-Rose, Larson-EV.

AND if im correct Finehage didnt get a penalty tonight That is good news for EV because they really need him down the stretch because EV's defense is kind of shaky. But a great game all around and if this is any hit towards sections it should be a great great finish!!

I don't know how to score this one. Either EV showed up to give the Irish a game or the Irish came out a little flat.

EV had 5 or 6 odd man rushes but only passed the puck once. Don't get that one. The had a 3 on 1 and the guy that brought the puck into the zone skated up and shot it into the goalie for a easy save. The other two forward were just shaking there heads.

It was a good game. Lots of energy. Good crowd.

It was a punch to EV's number 18 I believe... Behind the play after number 18 had checked him. He was skating away and recieved the punch.

The percy hit was more of a cross check to the back numerous times to EV's 11 and Maloney.

I thought that Rosemount pretty much looked stupid the entire first period. They came out and did absolutley nothing when they got the puck. They didn't even register a shot until about halfway through the first, lol.

A key note that I kept in the back of my mind was that Morgan was making some great saves in the beginning of the game. To be honest, I think Rosemount "escaped" the first period being down by only 1 goal.

In the beginning of the game JT showed he was out of it by throwing that punch. After that he got thrown down by an EV player and sat complaining to the ref for probably a good 20 seconds WHILE the puck drifted past him. That was when he got his misconduct.....NOT smart.

Morgan played an outstanding game. EV probably should have scored about 5 or 6 times but morgan came up BIG time.... No exaggerations there either. He won the game for Rosemount.

Another addition.... As talked about by rbk21 and others, it did indeed come down to the 2nd and 3rd lines in this game. EV pretty much shut down rosemounts 1st line, but the rest of the team made some things happen.

The key to the game was when Porter made an amazing individual effort to get that puck from in their own zone (during the PK), rush it out, then completely NHL08 style skill stick the EV D to get the shorthanded goal. Once that happened you kind of knew that Rosemount just wasnt going to lose. They fought hard and got the W. Congrats to a jam packed, sold out, back and forth game.

Here is my completly honest feedback:
Rose started out quick, hitting the post on the first shot. They were rolling pretty good for the first 45 seconds..until they started getting hit and then they got frustrated. Brown, not impressed one bit with his play tonight. EV completely dominated the play throughout the whole game. Out shot them 43-20. EV had 15 scoring chances, and it only hurt themselves that they couldnt score. EV's first line was much better than ROse's this game. The line of Maloney, Perry, Larson payed amazing. Jared Larson was the best player out their tonight. The ref's missed some calls both ways, and it was a very physical game during andafter the whistle. Rose had some cheap shots, ex brown throwing a punch behind the play, percy hitting guys from behind... This was a very good game, and completely sold out. It doesnt matter that EV dominated, because in the end Rose won. If these two teams meet again, which could very well happen, My money is one EV.

Not impressed with: Fienhage, Peters from EV
McManus and Brown from Rose.

I'm not saying hes is a bad player, I'm just saying that he isnt as good as people are saying. He was a non factor last game, and he hurt his team with his penalty. He didnt have a positive impact until he scored the empty netter. The irsh have a strong first line, and a amazing goalie. Morgan in my mind, is their best player day in day out for them. Brown has skill, but he lacks the overall completeness that a D1 player has. Maybe a year or two of juniors can change it.

Each week, every time they play a tough opponent, and continue to win these games, all everyone does is talk about how they were outplayed, they were unimpressed by certain players, etc. The only recurring theme I see is that Rosemount continues to win games, and prove to everyone that they are for real. Granted, they may not have looked their best last night, and JT may have done some stupid things to hurt his team, but in the end, a win is a win.

From Eastview's viewpoint, I would be a little frustrated after statistically outplaying a team, yet still losing the game. Yes, Morgan was very good last night, and that's what won the game, and this is what you need to win big games like this. A team won't always have everything clicking on all cylinders, but all they need in the end is a complete effort to get a win. This is what Rosemount has gotten a majority of their games this season.

Maybe once they make it to the state tournament, people will give them some credit they deserve, but until then, I can only sit back and laugh, and wonder why everyone is so down on Rosemount. They have a few tough games remaining, and a very exciting potential game against Eastview in the sections. They are by no means a shoe-in for the tourney, but I wouldn't put my money on anyone else right now in that section.

Yeah many people do look at rosemount and say they always get outplayed but in the end when you look at the score board and the buzzer sounds that is what matters the most it doesn't matter who gets out played who ever comes out on top gets a win.

The funniest thing in the game was the supposed shot total that the old man in the box came up with. I was sitting at center ice counting the shots and here is what I had by period.

EV - 10-13-13 - 36 Shots --- the board had 42 for EV
Rose - 5-13-9 - 27 Shots --- the board had 21 for Rose

EV should take note that Rosemounts goalie is not all he is cracked up to be --- most of the shots were taken on dump in and the others came out of nowhere. . .

1) what fan actually sits at a game counting shots?
2) You couldn't of been at center ice, the band filled that section

You should never try to take away something great that a kid does. DOES BEING OFF SIX SHOTS REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE? You must of been watching a completely different game to say that it was an even match. Eastview totally dominate the game, and Rosemount took advantage of the few opportunities they got, and came away with the win. Good teams find a way to win when things aren't going their way, and last night, that's what the Irish did.

I dont see the hype of JT either but apparently the top D1 teams dont either as he is not signed and if I heard correctly and I could be wrong, UMD only was talking to him and never slipped him a piece of paper or a verbal offer... Could be reasons for this?

For Rosemount to do anything in playoffs they will have to tighten up the D-zone and get Percy and Brown to locate the D-zone. All of the wins in the regular season mean nothing when playoffs come.

Hey just an FYI, if one could somehow check the # of key face-offs that Percy won in this game it would be very high. Especially in the D zone. I would have to say, after watching all their games this year and last year (home only), that it looks as though he is winning 80%+ of his faceoffs. I think THAT was a huge factor in the game as well.

why is it that Rosemount can never get ANY credit for what they do? They are winning games regardless of how they play...and yet they still dont get any credit. Like I said before the game was even played it was going to come down to who's 2nd line was going to play better and Rosemount's 2nd played better than EV's. I just dont get why you people cant give Rosemount at LEAST a tiny bit of credit, but no all you people do is point out Rosemounts mistakes and how they were "cheap" or how unimpressed you were with a certain player. The fact of the matter is...Rosemount won, Eastview didnt. Yeah Eastview might have outplayed Rosemount for a good portion of the game, but what did they get out of it? They got a loss. Rosemount found a way to win and that is what good hockey teams do regardless.
