Lakeville Jr. Gold B
Hey what's up with your coach getting suspended for 5 games? Something about an illegal player? Any extra information?

I dont know what player it was, he didn't say, but i do know it was done. But hell maybe its good for them, getting caught "Cheating" or what ever, look at the patriots
Rossbury, I think you should have listened a little more carefully to your boss. Never in any discussions was it described as an "illegal" player.
Yes, I am the coach of the Lakeville team. You should have the facts before you call me or my team cheaters.
Over 95% of the players and some coaches have no idea in regards to the paperwork that is involved with the registration process of a hockey player and the creation of the team roster. Individuals should have the facts before a presumption of guilt is determined.
The player in question was registered with LHA, Minnesota Hockey, and USA Hockey. The problem occurred because his name was not added to the roster in December. When the error was discovered, I informed my level director, who in turn advised the district director. We informed USA Hockey of the error. USA Hockey allowed the district director to roster the player, as we proved that he has been part of the team and registered. However, there was a consequence to be issued out by the district director. Since, I am the head coach and have control of the team, I am the one to blame and responsible for what happens to the team, even if something is not in my control. I have been accessed a 5 game suspension and a fine. I imposed a game suspension on myself for letting this error occur.
For the players that have played under me and the coaches I have been come good friends with over the last 15 years, they understand what Junior Gold means to me and my family. I never would intentionally cheat, disrespect my players or disgrace Junior Gold hockey.
Rossbury, if you want to discuss the matter further, I think we play you in two weeks? I will meet you at McDonalds (or another restaurant of your choosing) in Lakeville and I will buy you dinner and we can discuss the matter. After that, we can shake hands and go play a hockey game.

troll .. Thanks for setting the record straight.
The paperwork trail at this level is very overwhelming and nearly impossible to complete in the amount of time that we are allowed. The responsibilties of the coaches at this level include alot more than coaching. There are alot of registars out there that don't even know everything that needs to be done. Not to bore people with all the details ... but between needing to get all the signatures on possibly 4 different peices of paper and setting up tourneys plus scheduling league games in about a ten day span .. its very tough.
Sorry to hear about the suspension, but the good news it was taken care of now, and not at a really bad time.
GOOD LUCK THE REST OF THE WAY!

Re: Lakeville Coach
Scott,
When my family heard this my dad immediately said, no way, Scott is a veteran coach and wouldn't let this happen. I immediately thought of the player that you were trying to add before the deadline...I'm sorry this has happened and I understand the paperwork involved. We knew you would never purposely have an "illegal" player, you're too smart and too good for that.
Thank you for straightening it out on here. See ya at your senior night!

They couldn't put the puck in the net, it wasn't until it told them i wasn't gonna play today(Saturday) if they didn't score that they put one in. We had all the momentum going into overtime and then lost it because we never took the first line off all of OT oneirishfan08 wrote:rossbury what the hell happend last night vs Rochester???
