Night of Wed., Feb. 27. Where to go?

Post by TheHockeyDJ »

There are plenty of section championship possibilities on this night. What do you think is the best choice?

7A Championship at the DECC

8AA Championship at the National Hockey Center in St. Cloud

Double-Header 2AA and 6AA Championships at Mariucci Arena

May go to the DECC, may stay and work cuz I am going to TRF the next night.

But it is nice to have options.

Plenty to choose from

I don't think I'll get to any, but I looked at the schedule just in case. No doubt for me the best bet would be the II & VI finals at Mariucci. I'm showing different dates on something so I wonder if I pulled from a list that wasn't final.

21 - Th
1-QF
2-QF
3-QF
6-QF

22 - F

23 - S
1-Semis (Rochester)
2-Semis (BIG/Braemar)
3-Semis (St. Paul Coliseum)
4-QF
5-QF
6-Semis (Braemar/BIG)
7-Semis (Duluth)
8-Semis (Thief River Falls)

24 - Sun
25 - M

26 - T
4-Semis (St. Paul Coliseum)

27 - W
2-Finals (Mariucci)
5-Semifinals (St. Paul Coliseum)
6-Finals (Mariucci)
8-Finals (St. Cloud)

28 - Th
3-Finals (St. Paul Coliseum)
7-Finals (Duluth)

29 - F
1-Finals (Rochester)
4-Finals (St. Paul Coliseum)
5-Finals (St. Paul Coliseum)
Be kind. Rewind.

That is right, you might be thinking I said 7AA, when infact I said 7A for that Wednesday night at the DECC. The 7AA title game is the following night at the DECC (Thurs.) Unless there is a snow storm again like last year it was moved to Saturday at 3:00 if I recall correctly.

Gotcha. If I fly up for sectionals it will be to see the most competitive AA games. 7A must be Duluth Marshall. Probably a good game too but only half as good when compared to two at Mariucci. II and VI are strong sections this year.

I'm planning on heading up to Cloquet unless Cathedral lays an egg early in the playoffs. If they do, then I'll only have to drive 10 minutes to the Hockey Center in St. Cloud.
