Tonka was the better team but not by far. Fun game, I took great pleasure seeing Haeg on the 1st goal and Mattson on the 2nd burning Gardiner.
So it's 4-3 with 5 minutes left, Mattson just misses an opening to tie, Tonka scores a couple to put it away.

"webb for aha played great"
was this the goalie?
tonka had 6 goals on 33 shots and that is great?

He played great to keep the game 1 -1 after 1, shots were 13-3. Of the 6 goals one was soft at the end. He kept them in the game.

ok thanks for clearing that up.
sorta thought the term 'great' was getting thrown around a little to easy letting in one out of every 5-6 shots.
sounds like he kept it close.

C'mon...Tonka won 6-3.

I don't care how "close" the game seemed...fact is in these types of games the better team usually wins, and often not by 3.

A lot of teams can hang around...not this time.

AHA had their years...this is not one of them.

The final score of 6-3 is about where these two teams are this year.

Thanks captain obvious. Pretty sure everyone already said that Minnetonka was the better team. If you could read you would know that. The fact of the matter is, AHA played a great game. It was a one goal game until roughly 3-4 minutes to go in the third, when the defense lost their legs.
Third times a charm.

a great game?
again, are we throwing the word great around too much?
how is giving up 6 goals in a game considered great?
so the goalie played great. mattson was great. HA played great.
??? and gave up 6 goals in a 51 minute game at home?

Here's your chance to do something skippies, starting with the Thursday then getting to state. You have alot of seniors, don't blow-it.

i said it before matson is the best player and the Don missed him. anyone know if he plans on staying at aha or heading to Jrs next season.
aha has been so good in rescent years they finally are having a down year but maybe they will be able to upset someone come sections instead of being the team that is supposed to go.

aha is 2and5 against in state teams not in their conference. if you want to throw in some mystery men from back east they are 3-5-1 playing the caliber of teams edina and tonka play every game. so i say bring on north field or prior lake or any other teams from that list of hillbillys you count on to pad your record every year . if you were in the classic lake you would be in last place.

You pay attention pretty close to this program. I'm guessing you know how many state championships were won then since 2000.

I think it's pretty clear AHA's schedule is pretty weak compared to the schedule of teams such as Edina and Minnetonka:

I will probably have to say that there will be no new players on the program next year.....If fact I would bet that there will not be. AHA's JV is pretty good and loaded with FRESHMAN and sophomores who were FRESHMAN last year.

k-wing is just a whiner because AHA has had lots of talent and done well in the past. This person also seems to know a lot about AHA and their schedule which leads me to think that they were either cut from the team or their kid was cut from the team.

You may be right about kickinwing, Zam. Or he may hold a grudge because he was not as highly recruited as some of the other Stars.

I don't know why anyone would pay any attention to k-wing. If you would just ignore him he would become disillusioned with his life and hopefully end it by his own hand. This would accomplish two things, You would not have to read his drivel anymore and his passing would ultimately benefit the gene pool greatly.
