[-X It is so obvious that you are clueless about homeschoolers and kids in general. Since when did parental involvement in a child's education become the source of social maladjustment? The kids I know who are homeschooled and those with greatest parental involvement in their lives and education are better adjusted in my opinion. Also, all the homeschooled kids I know are extremely active in their communities and the "real world" as you put it.

The ones that I know for the most part are very social and well adjusted. If the home schiooling is for educational and\or religous reasons and done properly, it can be good for the kids. If its done from the point of parental control, its usually a bad thing for the childs developement (ie: socially maladjusted), and I've know a couple of those too. It all depends on the motives of the parents.

Homes

While I never intended this thread to take a turn toward discussing the merits of homeschooling, it is worth mentioning my opinion on the subject.

Homeschooling has changed incredibly over the pat 20 years. At one point it was a rarity and accusations that its participants were odd applied. Today it is more prevalent. There is a lot of support in place for parents so the kids can actually follow well-defined curriculums. (Did I blow the Latin plural? Mea culpa if I did.)

I'm not a homeschool advocate, but if Tim Tebow isn't the poster child for a well-adjusted kid I don't know who is. Forget that he plays football, you still are left with an intelligent, articulate, responsible 20-year-old.

I don't think he's the only one.
Be kind. Rewind.
