I'm taking Cloquet...barely. I just can't see them limping into the East game next week with 4 losses in a row. They need to figure things out fast if they want a chance at the section, because right now I see nothing that convinces me that they do.

I like H-Town 3-2, if there Defense play up to par and are healthy.

Wesley - What do you know about hocky up North? Classes must be cancelled today, huh? Good prediction, though.

In this one my heart says Hermantown, but my brain (and my Week Eight Pick 'Em) says CEC....I'm going with:

Hermantown - 2
Cloquet/Esko/Carlton - 3

cloquet needs this win...badly. like someone else already mentioned going into easts game with 4 losses in a row wouldn't be good, i think they'll get it together tomorrow night and pull off a win.
i'm gonna say 4-3 for a close one.

hermantown is streaky this year. cloquet should break out of a slump, they're going to need some momentum coming to the DECC next week cause east is playing tough right now.

I'll take the Hawks in a tight one...

C-E-C - 2

Wish I could be there, but I'll be listening on 560 A.M. 8)

3rd time watching Hermantown this year... Denfeld and Marshall were the other games... 1st time seeing Cloquet. My thoughts- Cloquet had trouble with coverage in there own end, don't know if it is an ongoing thing, but the D wasn't that great and Hermantown had too much speed for Cloquet. As much as Cloquet had some lapses, the goalie on the H-town end seemed to let in a few that should've been stopped (maybe a lack of concentration-i.e.-Frazee like) So, my thoughts on Hermantown are that they seem to be playing more consistent. The first game against Denfeld, there were alot of nervous kids (10 sophs) running around and dumping the puck in their first big "varsity" game, I didn't see that tonight, they had more control than Cloquet.

Oh... other key stat in this game... Cloquet could not score on two 5-3's...

And... this is now the 4th year in a row that Cloquet hasn't been able to beat Hermantown.

second game in a row that they've won IN Cloquet. My thoughts. Hermantown's third line produced some offense which helped keep the jacks on there heels at times and hermantown's second line was effective at keeping Cloquet's top line in check. tessier had a couple get past that were questionable. But killing off two 5-3's was impressive after cloquet scored on the first two 5-4's. One other observation Jokinen has a rocket wrister

Looks the Hawks are starting to come around, good luck down the stretch, them or Denfeld out of 5A in the March Ship against who else. The Hilltoppers.

In that case the Hawks should have won 4-2, I believe a Rocket Wrister is totally Illegal.
