My dark horse pick would be Centennial. Good players, great effort. Easier route to "The Dance".

Just read all of hockeyfan43's posts and you'll understand the logic...there is no team out there but Edina.

Lee, any thought to an "All Edina" forum?

Might be something to consider.

don't really see a dark horse this year too many great teams, (although I thought that last year too and look what happend).

I'll take Cloquet or Duluth East as a dark horse, but realistically it will be an all green final..... three way between Hill, Roseau, and Edina

Keep in mind that most people expected Moorhead to win section 8AA last year. Most people expected East or CEC out of 7AA. Everyone expected Holy Angels out of whatever section that was last year. Then everyone expected Hill-Murray, Edina, Roseau and most thought Blaine would advance. Hill lost, Edina lost, Blaine lost. In playoffs anything can happen. Just ask Moorhead.

Good assesment Boblee, but nobody is going to stop Roseau and Edina from coming to the dance this year. Minnetonka on the other hand, may have some problems. One way or the other, it will be a really interesting finish. I think we may see the strongest field in the tournament this year than we have seen in years. But then again who really knows. I'll bet any amount of money that a team wearing the green and white will be hoisting the big trophy come championship Saturday. Hands down. I don't think that there is a team from 1AA that wears the grean and white.

I'm just curious how Benilde can be considered a darkhorse...They're 18-3, ranked in the top 5 in almost all polls, only team to beat Edina, should've beaten Tonka (2 bad goal calls in the last 45 sec), and they beat SSM's prep team. If anyone can explain to me why they are, that'd be appreciated.

But, IMO, teams like Blaine or Jefferson would be realistic darkhorses to win it all.

Benilde is an elite team. They are no darkhorse. They can beat anyone in the state any night of the week. They are stuck in a awfully tough section however. That section will have some incredibly good semi-finals as well as a likel Benilde Minnetonka final which could be very fun. It will be tough for any team to come out of that section and whoever does definately will be seeded at state...
