God everyone who said Roseau is overrated should stop posting on this board. When you have Ness, Landman, and Lee you have a great team and all you Irish guys who think JT Brown is the best player in high school hockey, get real guys. He is a good player but Ness is so much better than him no question about it. Do you remember last years state tourney? The guy was the best player on the ice in every game.

The argument is Edina being better then roseau which they are easily if you have seen both teams play. If you compare Ness, Landman, and Lee to Edina's talent there is no argument that edina wins there and Edina proved more in the Minnetonka game then roseau has this whole seaon.
Roseau 4-2 Crookston 2-15-1 not a very impressive score for a team you want to rank #1. Roseau will just see how overrated they are when march roles along if they make it(which they should considering they are in the second easiest section).

Both times they played each other Minnetonka had over 45 shots, they just ran into a hot goalie.

Rationalize all you want, the goalie is part of the team, having a better goalie is not a fluke.

I don't think any of the teams have a real good shot at beating Roseau, but anything can happen. I'd like to see a state tourney matchup between them and a team like Tonka or Edina. After all, Tonka did beat them in a pre-season scrimmage.

If you look at the thread I posted that in "the teams" I was referring to were the ones in a poll that were on Roseau's remaining schedule, that being Bemidji, Moorhead, Crookston, St. Cloud Tech, Warroad, Brainerd, Thief River Falls, Blaine, International Falls, and Grand Rapids. All these teams are average at best and don't stand a chance against Roseau I think. I'm not saying Roseau is bad, I'm just saying I don't think they're a #1 team when they haven't really proved anything against a good team this year. I think they should be around the 3-5 spot for that reason.

42 & EHS - Roseau didn't lose much from last year so I don't know why you insist that Roseau hasn't beat anyone this season and that means Edina is vastly superior.

At the end of the season Roseau beat Moorhead and Grand Rapids. They obviously were good in the 2007 tournament. If they are that good this year they're clearly among the state's top one, two, or three teams.

If the San Antonio Spurs or Anaheim Ducks are dismissed as playoff contenders because they've lost some games this year it completely ignores the fact they have their rosters mostly intact and won last year.

Edina will be just fine. You don't have to disparage Roseau.

Edina easlily has more talent then Roseau. Edina has Budish who is arguably better then Ness, Anders Lee, Marshall Everson, Connor Gaarder, Joe Gleason, Brenden Baker, and Derrick Caschetta in goal. Edina did prove more in that game because Roseau has not even played a top ten team in the state so how can the be considered the best in the state. Edina, Minnetinka, BSM, and Hill would probably all look better then Roseau with the teams Roseau plays. I think Edina is the better team. with that being said I have not seen the rams play this year so I can not judge them on there talent. Roseau is the number 1 until somebody proves otherwise

The Tonka-Edina game could have easily gone either way. It was back and forth the whole way until Edina got a 2 goal lead with a minute or so remaining. Both these teams are very solid and I look forward to them playing each other again in a few weeks.
