I don't know about that. NSP's #9 ranking is a little too high. They're more of a 10 or 11 in my book.wbmd wrote:Those look pretty good to me.mustangman wrote:Seedings as of today must be something like this.
1. H.M.
2. Rose/ wb winner
3. Rose/wb loser
4. Still Have beaten both wb and rose
5. M.V. Big win over Tartan
6. Tartan
7. Johnson
8. como
9. NSP

You know, you goofballs can laugh it up all you want, but lets review some FACTS, shall we?
Johnson is catching fire just at the right time, having won 5 in a row.
In addition to that, they've beaten Minneapolis West (twice). Has HM done that? No.
The Govs have beaten Cambridge. HM? Nope
Two Harbors? Another victim to the Governors. Did HM beat them? Nope.
Crookston? Lost to Johnson. Did they lose to HM? Nope.
I could go on and on, but I've made my point and it can't be argued. As we all know, northern hockey is the best in the state and Johnson has taken their share of victims from that area.
Turn out the lights before you lock up this thread, and hand over the 4AA trophy before you go.

If this is your logic, the "Hockey in the Hood" boys will be back in the Hood early this year.Govs93 wrote:You know, you goofballs can laugh it up all you want, but lets review some FACTS, shall we?

First of all, we would never schedule so many teams from northern MN because we realize the power they have. The only reason we are playing the Spuds is because they are paying our expenses & our coaches were heading up there anyway on a recruiting visit. Beating a single team in one night is impressive, but beating 2 at the same time is amazing. Wins over Cambridge/Isanti (2 teams)...then, not one, but Two Harbors, let the rest of section 4AA know that the Govies mean business. I can see now why there is such much excitiment coming from the eastside of St. Paul over this club's chances of returning to State. However, as for "being on fire", I think that may be related to some actual drug use...but that is for a different time.

Sure. Why not? Once they avenge that loss to Como Park next week, you'll see.formerlybackofnet wrote:Are you for real?Govs93 wrote:Not really... Johnson can't move any higher than the #1 seed anyway. I for one think they should be the #1 seed. I like the way you think Govs.

If these two end the season with similiar records, WB will get the # 2 based on quality nonconference wins. Either way, they will likely see each other in the section semi's. The higher seed will get the last change, but that rarely is an issue. MV is s tough team to face in round 1 as they have played teams tough, but have also lost to Hastings twice. I still see a HM/WB final.formerlybackofnet wrote:WBL/roseville tie, that throws a monkeywrench into seedings.
I, like Govs93, would prefer a Johnson vs H-M final. Let the real powers that be have a shot at state...Pioneerprideguy wrote:If these two end the season with similiar records, WB will get the # 2 based on quality nonconference wins. Breaking News
I heard that Johnson has found a loop hole in the MSHL rule book that is going to allow them to bring back Pogreba to play with them. That should give them just the boost they need.Govs93 wrote:See! It's a movement... it's building.Don't_Cost_Nothin wrote:formerlybackofnet wrote: Are you for real?
