Champlin Park's Final Strech

Post by MNsGreatest#2 »

Champlin Park now 14-7-1 (11-6-1) finishes the season with a pretty tough schedule.

Sat. 9 Osseo at CP (CP lost the last game 6-3)
Tues. 12 Blaine at CP (CP won last game 2-1)
Thurs. 14 CP at Anoka (CP lost last game 4-0)

Any predictions for the rebels?

Your entitled to you wrong opinions :D. Although, I must point out that on Tuesday Blaine fell to Andover who CP swept, and Osseo Fell to MG tonight who CP also swept.

Best case scenario is obviously 3-0 but the Osseo and Blaine games will mean more for section seeding. CP is looking at a three seed, but they have to beat Osseo because they lost last time. Realistically, the Anoka game is just to get ready for the playoffs.

I'll give them 0-2-1

Seeded # 3 in section, lose in the Semis

Very true, I feel there is no way (no matter what) CP will get the nod over Blaine in section voting due to the "Aus Surname." If they can stay away from a fourth seed, they wont have to see Centennial till the championship.

*Correction on CP's record it's 14-7-1 (10-4-1) Murraychadwick...who do you think CP is gonna pull off a tie against?

Grand idea!

Actually I think they will be "kissing their sister" with Blaine.

Thank you

I honestly don't think they will lose all 3, but have a hard time justifying any wins against these three. The emotion of a final home game might give them enough to pull off a tie with Blaine, or revenge against an Osseo team, the Anoka game might not matter seeding wise for either team.

Now, what are your thoughts?

I will throw out an OH HELL YA! For the boys on sweeping the Elks this year. But IMO they will go 2-1 in the final 3. Wins over Osseo and Blaine, and a tough loss to Anoka. RBK28, hows the season for ya? Order me up a super size of McDangles will ya!

Well CP beat Osseo 3-0, so they are off to the right start. For all you non-believers who thought a 0-3 streak was to come, try picking up the eight ball again for your predictions.

like i said earlier in the season, the only thing really holding this squad back is a really tough section and horrible coaching...otherwise good goaltending and a solid couple of lines.

Hey top swiss ill order up a super size for ya..no prob! Big win for CP on saturday and if they beat Blaine CONVINCINGLY they might be in contention for a 2 seed but I don't really think that's possible. Either way Tuesday's game is only going to be a preview for sections at the Coli

You forgot to mention that in order to get a 1 or 2 seed in this section, your coach's last name should be Aus. Sweeping Blaine won't matter. It's all in the name.

Well with 2 CP losses to the Cougars, in which Blaine won and lost 1 each to.
You can't expect to go over Centennial however if you beat Blaine you have an argument to the #2 spot but, you also have that loss to Osseo.
Nothing wrong with the 3 spot in this section. :)

A trip downtown to get a name change can be arranged, but I think that CP would rather tie Blaine than get credit for a name. CP has, quite frankly, always sucked. And the boys on the team know that they arnt going to get much respect just because they have one good team. Looks like its going to be a david and goliath battle between tradition and one hot team.

It will be tough for cp but their recent wins could push coaches votes in thier favor. A victory over blaine has the possibility to shift votes since blaine has been good lately. Rootin for Paul Aus (aka. Bailey) to get his team the 2 seed with the name change :D .
