I'll take a stab at the top 3 seeds:

Hopkins: Great first line and goaltending. Kortum, Peterson, Johnson and Billedeau (rock solid goalie) are all top players and go a long ways toward explaining why this team has done so well this year. Maybe not quite as deep as some of the other best teams in the State. They are still young and should be even better next year. Their first line needs to score and they need to play good team defense when the first line is taking a breather.

BSM: Struggled at times earlier in the year but have played extremely well as of late, winning their last 10. After experimenting with different players and line combinations, they now seem to have found the right mix and have two very potent and balanced forward lines. The defense is very solid and their senior goalie Amanda Nagel has been very good all year.

Wayzata: Very good team depth without any big scoring superstars, but the entire roster can skate, pass and shoot. Laurinaitis is a huge force on D and you quickly become aware whenever she is on the ice. Wayzata is a much better team than their record might indicate, mainly because they've played such a difficult schedule all year. Goaltending has been inconsistent at times but has often been outstanding.
