Pretty sure power92 was at the Blake/Orono game. I actually think he might have been on one of the benches.

Would everyone agree that this section is literally wide open. At the beginning of the season this might have looked like the deepest section, instead it looks like the weakest.
I would agree. Except the part about being on the bench.
I don't know if it is the weakest, maybe the most inconsistent.
There seems to be a lot of talent in this section.
....Can't thank you enough for the time.

Power92...Oh I mean Brad. Do they not allow you on the bench?

I noticed a bad loss for Blake lately. Where does Delano fit into the seedings? What about Providence?

I can assure you, I am NOT who you think I am. He had a different name, similar to yours, I believe. Coincidence........?????????

I guess I pretty much agree as it stands right now. I would probably move Holy Family behind Mound and Breck. Their record is better but they haven't beaten any quality, winning teams.

Blake
Mound
Breck
Holy Family
Providence
Delano
Orono
Richfield
STMA
SLP

Who is the most dangerous of the bottom half of those teams?
No question, ORONO. They should have their starting goalie back by sections and have 3 very good and one exceptional player (Persian) that can swing a game against anyone. This section could be won by at least five teams (Blake, Breck, Mound, Providence, Orono). Should be fun.

Still feel that way? What happened to them last night?

Didn't see the game, but I heard that Mound got off to an early 3-0 lead on some soft goals. I heard that Mound had Riley Horgan back and Orono is still without there goalie.

Keep in mind that the response you are referring to is "Who is the most dangerous of the bottom half of those teams?" With Mound, Breck, Blake, Providence and Holy Family in the top half, I still say Orono has the strongest potential for pulling an upset. But that chance is greatly diminished if they don't get their goalie back.

I think Mound is the team to beat in this section. They are a fast and skilled team with solid goaltending.

I would have to agree after seeing that score. Did Horgan score alot? I did not see the box score.

Dont let the score fool you, Delano beat Orono 8-3. But no one thinks of them as a high class team. Plus Mound lost to Litch twice... I'd understand once, but twice? I bet Willet gave the team a mouth full after that game...

Reid is playing very well. He is the defensive anchor for the Mustangs and continues to lead by being the biggest hustler on the team. While I'm probably biased, I don't think there are many out there that are better than him.

Yes. You are biased. How about Ness or maybe Gleason, or Leddy?

Like I said there aren't MANY (Include Gardiner as well) that are better. These 4 may have the edge but he is still an outstanding player and better than most high school defenders.

Come on Goldie..he is a decent defenseman but I don't put him near the same league as Gardiner.

This Hurd character is no where near the elite defenseman. A few players that I heard are pretty good; Jensen from Rogers, Leddy from EP, Ness, Schmitt from St Cloud, Gardiner, Gleason from Edina, Dano Jacques...

So good luck to Reid Hurd and Breck

Sorry my feline friend, I stand by my post. No question there are a handfull of kids that are be better, and you have named some of them, but this kid is a stud and any coach in the state would love to have him on his team.

I think Blake will be #1 seed for sure...

A lot could change this week with several key games (Blake v Breck and Providence v Breck) but right now it looks to me like;

Blake (if they win out)
Mound (could move to #1 if Blake loses 1 or 2) Team to beat.
Breck (Could move to 1 or 2 with wins @ Blake and Prov)
Providence (could move to 3 if they beat Breck)
Holy Family (just don't see them moving up-weak schedule)
Delano ?????

Orono (Loss to Holy Family sealed their fate to bottom bracket)
STMA Weak
SPA Weaker
Richfield Weakest

You guys have to keep in mind the sections will be determined even though some teams will still have games remaining. So there might be a few games that matter but the sections might already have been set. Most sections will be determined this week, probably Wed-Fri. Some might wait until the following Monday.

I dont think any of these teams deserve to be a #1 seed. My predictions;

1. Blake
2. Providence
3. Mound
4. Holy Family
5. Breck
6. Delano
7. Orono
8. STMA
9. St. Louis Park
10. Richfield

You have some very interesting possible matchups in this section. Orono is by far the team with the best chance of making a few upsets. Not sure about their goalie status though. Mound is also another team to watch out for, especially with Horgan healthy. In all honesty everyone from 1-7 can beat each other on any given night.

My pick is Mound
