Yeah, they probably would have won with Stewart in the game.

Is this the year for MV to make a run in sections? You both seem to know a lot about the team. It looks like after this year they loose there top 3 scorers and the top 2 D along with the goalie. There entire 1st line will be gone and next years goalie will have no varsity experience. It looks like they are getting some solid goaltending and this might be the year to make a run.

It depends on what you consider a "run". Could they win a game? Sure, as long as they don't have to play Johnson. *cough*cough* Ahem. Excuse me...

But inevitably, I don't see them winning more than one. 4AA is pretty brutal if you're not in the top 4.

Sorry I missed the part where I said it would have been a different out come if he was in nets. Just asking if anyone knows if why he didn't play.

From what I saw, Josh Stewart played the whole game. Where did you see that they played their backup goalie? Where you even at the game?

Was not at the game but on pointstreak it shows that Drew played.

I'm not sure who played, but I know it was senior night so that probably affected who started

I know for sure that Josh Stewart played last night. He is the only goalie on varsity right now. He is also a SENIOR.

I heard it was a pretty good game for mv. Pederson got a hat trick, Osborne had 2, and Bothwell, and Blumer each scored. Now they have a little momentum rolling into next week and maybe the will be able to knock off wbl.

With solid goaltending they might be able to stop White Bear.

If the right team shows up, they have a chance. Mv is a little banged up right now though and Danny Wolter is out for the season last time I heard.

I've seen probably every game but 3-4 this season. The only chance they realisticlly have is if Civ plays huge. He is the biggest part of that team not to take anything away from the other players, Brock is having a big season but if Civ goes so do the Mustangs. I would love to see these guys pull the upsets.

Govs93, I don't think Johnson wants to run into MV if Civelo is hot according to how he has played. I want to see the Hill vs. Johnson matchup instead. What seed to you really think Johnson can end up with anyway?

They'll be 7 and will probably have to deal with WBL. I'll tell you what I'd really like to see - and this will sound really strange that I would wish this on them - but it would be way better than going one-and-done with a loss to the Bears...

I would rather see Como leapfrog Johnson and go to 7 so that Johnson has to play the play-in game against NSP forcing Joe Rubbelke to go up against the team he'll be on next year - that should be some big time motivation for all of the Govs - particularly Joe. If they get past that, it would set up the game against HM which is all I (and most Johnson alumni) really want.

Since I think Johnson is going to have a tough time securing the #1 seed in the section (I thought they had it locked up, but the loss to FL on Saturday hurt those chances! ), I think this would be the best possible scenario for any fan of the Governors.
