Bears at Mustangs. Wolter vs. Wolter once again. The last match-up ended in a win for the Bears, 3-1. Predictions?

I've read that Mounds Views' Wolter is out for the season with an injury.

danny wolter is out for the season with a torn mcl. So for this game civ steps up big time and my boys pull one out.

Expect a solid performance from Owen. If WBL can stay out of the box, I think they'll take it by a handful. If they get those stupid penalties then I think it will resemble last game. Either way I see a win for WBL.

Civ stands on his head and the Mustangs pull off the upset. Mv always plays better on there home rink.

Saw Mounds View play earlier this year and I'll have to go with White Bear 4-2.

yeah good luck with that prediction. white bear will win, again. i think the real game to watch is thursday when white bear and woodbury play. could really shake up the section seedings, the game could go either way

It's not just Civello needing to stand on his head though. They need some goals. They can win if they can get 3-5 goals.

I'm pulling for MV in this one. I think they have a good chance. I also agree Civ will have to play big. Also right that not only Civ will have to play huge. Let me say I do think they want to keep it low scoring 2-1 or something. I don't see them putting up 5 on WBL. They've put up 5+ goals in one conference game this year. They will have to play a smart defensive hockey game really reduce the turnovers at both blue lines and make sure they have bodies picked up in the D zone, keep the odd man rushing down. I think if you look at both teams there no doubt WBL is the more skilled team so MV will have to really shut down time and space so they can't get started. Hopefully MV will have a big crowd making lots of noise! Go Mustangs. Any idea the last time MV beat WBL

I can not see White Bear losing this one. They haven't been playing their best hockey lately and I'm looking for them to rebound and MV would be an ideal opportunity to do just that. Aberhamson might get the start with Owen playing last thursday and saturday and a big game coming up this thursday. Wolters being hurt for MV doesn't help their cause either. I don't think penalties will be a factor considering White Bear has had a better chance at scoring on the penalty kill as of late. MV's goalie seems to be solid so i wouldn't look for a blow out in this one either.

These teams will meet again in the first round of sections. WB will be the #3 seed & MV will be the #6 seed. Could be interesting.

How is M.V. the 6th seed? they beat Tartan head to head and should be a 5th seed playing Stillwater. seedings will look something like this.

1. Hill
2. WB/Rose
3. WB/Rose
4. Stillwater
5. M.V.
6. Tartan
7. JOHNSON
como and north

Mounds View is under .500 and Tartan beat Hill-Murray. I still think they'll be #5, but Tartan will be ahead of them easily. No way is Stillwater a 4 seed.

Tartan will be 4, Mounds View 5, Stillwater 6.

Stillwater & MV split during the year. Both play in the same conference & as of today, Still is something like 7-9 & MV is 3-10. MV should be seeded higher because?

I'll go with that. Both teams are pretty similar, and if it comes down to conference record - which it could - then it'll be Stillwater.

Mounds View still has 3 games left, and if they can win 2 (big IF), then maybe they should have the inside edge for the #5. Figure a win over NSP, and if they can get a win over either WBL or FL, it would make a big statement and put them 3 games better than Stillwater overall.

They play in different conferences that is why. If M.V. got to play the sibleys of the world their record would be much better. they are 3-10 and last place in their conference and still handled tartan head to head. No doubt they should be seeded higher than Tartan. Stillwater will be seeded ahead of M.V. so it should fall still, M.V. then tartan as your 4,5 and 6 seeds. If the coaches vote they will get this right.

A win agianst MV, and a win or a close game agianst Woodbury should give WB the #2 seed.

WB is the number 2 seed unless they lose both games in my opinion.

Pretty simple. WB needs to finish higher in the conference standings than Roseville in order to be seeded higher. Tough to argue otherwise.

WB - 4
MV - 0

Owen played well although MV had a few chances and couldn't put it away. Solid win for the bears.

Fiala, Swanson, Pasma and Sura scored. I forget how many shots White Bear had but I know Mounds View had 17 and an extremely silent student section.
Aaahh, douche.
