Top 10 Finalists for 2008 Mr. Hockey have been announced:

Tyler Barnes - Burnsville
J. T. Brown - Rosemount
Cory Fienhage - Eastview
Jake Gardiner - Minnetonka
Joe Gleason - Edina
Justin Jokinen - Cloquet
Zach Lehrke - Park Rapids
Aaron Ness - Roseau
Drew Olson - Brainerd
Jake Youso - Intl. Falls

Don't know if this list is the "real" final list but if it is, some great players on this list. A couple of players missing but you can't argue about any of the names chosen...congrats to all!! Barnes, Brown, Gardiner, Jokinen, Ness, Youso are all cream of the crop players and leaders on their teams.

With Ness and Youso being the only Gopher recruits, i'm predicting one of them wins it. On a side note, anyone know how Ness is doing in school? Any chance he wins Mr. Hockey but doesnt complete his sr. year of classes and returns to be the first 2-time winner of the award? :shock:

Ness is now officially a Senior with the amount of credits he has earned.

That is such a tired stereotype of the award.

Not being a Gopher recruit didn't stop Ryan McDonagh from winning the award last year. :idea:
