#7 Tyler Landman

Post by The_Phantom_Enigma »

With all the endless talk and endless thread-clogging about Ness; and the more recent threads about Mike Lee... I feel most people are forgetting about someone -- Tyler Ralph Landman..

He lead lasts years State Championship team with, i believe it was 56 points...

I have heard some talk of a few different colleges talking to him, but still no commit...

Tyler is a very solid skater, good hockey sense, and a untelling amount of heart and love for the game (back to back "Green Blood" awards [Roseau's end of the year award for Most Ram Pride, so to speak])...

Landman definitely knows how to put the puck away... (of course except for when he misses wide open nets! haha)...

But i thought since it seems Landman get's overshadowed by a few of his teammates that it's time for a Tyler Landman thread to start... :D

...So let's hear you're thoughts and opinions about Mr. Landman.

P.S. Notice i asked for thoughts and opinions about Mr. Landman; not Edina, Ness, Lee, Gorg's Eyebrows, Soft Schedules, or basketball so PLEASE refrain from discussing these topics in this thread!

Landman does get overshadowed. So do a few others on the team.

Landman was impressive tonight. I did not see him lose a face-off to Youso all night or to anyone else for that matter. Very tenacious ecspecially short handed (as are the other speedsters). Rams looked like they were on the power play when they were short handed. I thought they played better then.

I too am suprised he has not been picked up yet. I think that might change real soon.

No problem! Is this like a 20-day countdown from now 'til finals covering every player with a lovefest and we're on Day Three? I can't wait until you hit the 3rd line wings. Gets the juices going, though. Now on to playoff hockey.

One of the funniest internet threads I've ever seen was a dude that was doing an 88 day tribute to Eric Lindros upon his retirement. It was about two days into it and he mentioned something like being named on of People's 50 Most Beautiful. And that was one of the better ones. "Best player ever whose initials are E.L. and preferred Golden Grahams to Lucky Charms" type stuff. He got a lot of crap and aborted it and came back with a Letterman-style Top Ten or something. Upon thought I can say it actually was the funniest.

Can you double up on certain days to make sure you include the Ram coaches and Athletic Director?

Thoughts on Landman? He's great. Keep 'em comin'.

Is this a serious thread?

For once I have to agree with Otown, which is hard to imagine.

Im sure Tyler is a great kid, a good hockey player, and more... Do we have to review every play on every team in the state? How about we move it to not only Bantams, but to the next great Pee Wee or hey, why not squirts.

Whatever happened to the team concept? Where would these "standout" players be without good teamates?

Landman will be able to pick any school he wants to go to, but his year will be next year.

In a high talented pool of players that have already committed, college teams will reevaluate their needs after they lose players to the pros. I would think Landman will be on everyones short list to grab. The fact he has not committed is likely that he is keeping his options open.

Tyler definitely gives 110% every game - very gritty player, especially fun to watch on the penalty kill.

There's a website that ranks players by year and position that has Tyler ranked as the #1 junior forward in Minnesota but I can't remember where I saw it. It was a few weeks back, but I'm sure someone knows what I'm talking about. Tyler's got great hands, work ethic and hockey sense. He must win 90% of his faceoffs. He's not tall, but he's strong on his skates and can get physical when needed. I'm glad he's on our team.

What's with all the rump kissing in Roseau? A little over the top, isn't it? It's faily apparent that much like the team, the Roseau fans don't get out much.

Is there anybody in that town that isn't about to be signed or drafted? Where's Aaron Ness' grandma playing these days anyway?

I'm not anti-Roseau, but c'mon people. It's getting out of hand. Seriously.

Well for me, I'm just adding to this post - because I knew it'd get a response from people like you.

It is a "BORED" designed for people to comment - if you don't like it, you don't have to read it :)

Who's left on the Roseau roster that doesn't have thread? Couldn't this have just been added to one of the 800 others?

I consider myself a Roseau fan, since I live there BUT....

How is that Tiny Mites team looking for 2015 anyways? Who are the standouts on those teams?

Not anti-Roseau, but you come to a thread to basically bash Roseau. That makes a lot of sense.

There's probably 8 or 9 guys on this team that have a legit chance to go D1. Especially Landmann. If you don't like the thread, don't look at it. It's really that simple.

I don't know that I'd use the word "bash", but if you take it that way, so be it. It's just old - that's all.

Does this include threads about Roseau which are started by Edina fans? Or are those excluded from the "official" count?

Roseau/Edina fans' brains are going to literally explode if one of those schools don't make it to the State finals. I mean, what will they talk about then? Or will other team's fans appear with the obligatory "Edina/Roseau choked!" topic in an attempt to, you know, fill the void?

This is serious business and we all need to be taking it very seriously. ImageImage

You're worried about clogging up your thread? How about you clogging up the "bored" ("bored" as in "we're bored with it")? Everyday on the board there are 20 new threads (exaggeration) about how wonderful Roseau is, created by the same people, and yet nobody adds anything new. It's completely unnecessary. Couldn't this have been covered here, or here, or here, etc... ?

Oh wait... if you read those threads, it already has been.

Hockey, as you know, goes in waves of glory. This just happens to be the "crest" for Edina and Roseau. They'll be in the "well" again soon enough and then it will be JOHNSON's turn. Give them some space Govs and we'll do the same for you.

I wouldn't expect it or force it upon everybody, but thanks.
