OK, real answer. I would like the names and qualifications of everyone that voted in the myfoxhockey poll. After you get those to me I will decide if they actually know anything.

Good for them. What will being #1 in any poll get any team?

Last I checked, the games were played on the ice. Wasn't Edina seeded #1 in last years' state tourney? What did that get them?

Seems to me Edina fans should be more concerned with their team getting to the tournament and winning it rather than where they are ranked in some poll.

I don't think it is a poll. I think it is Pete Waggoner's ranking. Maybe he has input.

Pete is a 1985 grad of Edina and is a coach in their youth program now. I wouldn't worry too much about the My Fox Hockey rankings and made the comment on another thread. Pete is a little bit of a nonconformist and takes opportunities to provoke thought. Edina could win and I wouldn't put it past him to put Roseau back up at #1. It is pretty whimsical. (Case in point? Blaine began the year at #3, fell off, and was put back up pretty high about 10 days ago before the Andover loss. Then they disappeared again from the Top 10 in AA. I think Pete likes Blaine and if they win their Section you'll see them about #5.)
Be kind. Rewind.

"Hatin'"?

I've been a big fan and supporter of all Pete's media efforts going back to Overtime (great show) and consider him a friend. There's no hate at all. I find his Stitch rankings a little whimsical. Was just a week or two ago he was the only one you could find with Edina's girls not in the Top 10. I've told him as much so it isn't like I'm talking behind his back. Pete's a thinker and his ranking is designed to provoke thought, stir discussion.

Why would anyone hate that?

Crap, now the Rams have no chance. Thanks for pissing in my cornflakes. Time for the Rams to pack in the season, Edina beat Buffalo 9-1, might as well call it quits.

You want a to G A U G E these two teams on a common? How about Brainerd....

Roseau 7
Brainerd 0
At Brainerd home ice...

Edina 6
Brainerd 1
Neutral Site...

How many times do you people have to be told that you can't judge teams based on scores from common opponents... These two teams are VERY EVEN, should they meet up it will be a hell of a game!
When Hell freezes over, I'll play hockey there too

Roseau is defending state champs and they haven't lost a game this year. To say that Edina is better is ridiculous, yea they've played better teams but they've also lost a game. Until Roseau loses before or during state, they are the best team.

Thats right Condor.

Comparative scores become even more meaningless if you ignore where the the 2 teams were in their schedule when they played their commom opponent(s).

Edina played Brainerd in the Schwan's Cup which probably means they had just played a couple of good teams and knowing Edina's schedule, were going to play another good team when Schwans was over.

Roseau probably played Brainerd sandwiched between games vs Frostbite Falls and Flannel Shirt High.

It makes a big diffrence, I think every one will agree.
