Eagan, IGH, and Woodbury-White are all battling still to determine who will get the 2nd and 3rd seeds for playoffs.Avalanche19 wrote:the bracket for district 8 is out, Lakeville will most likely have to go through:

-Woodbury White
thats assuming I'm reading this right, and the top seeds advance.

Lakeville wrapped up the D8 title after beating Woodbury White last night.
I was surprised at the score of 7-1 in Lakeville's favor. The Hudson website said Lakeville beat Hudson 2-0 on Sunday, so it looks like that game was close. Since Woodbury White played Hudson close (again looking at Hudson's site), I thought this might be a good game.
Any insight on the Lakeville-Woodbury game?
Based on the D8 standings, it looks like Hudson will finish second, but since they are a Wisconsin team and aren't eligible for Minnesota playoffs there will be a scramble for the 2-3-4-5-6 seeds for district playoffs.
FYI - I know there was some discussion in an earlier post about Hudson not being in the Minnesota playoffs. I checked out the Wisconsin Hockey website and they will be playing in the Wisconsin state tournament in March in Green Bay.
Good luck to everyone. What a great time of year.

The Lakeville/Hudson game was close, Hudson really really wanted to win that, they played very hard. A combination of timely goals and solid goalie performance won us the game. As for Woodbury i think the game kind of seemed up for grabs for a few minutes in the early going. After 2-3 goals were scored it seemed to me like Woodbury lost a lot of confidence and we were able to capitalize.

not so fast IGH and Eagan are both still in the race for 2nd place since Woodbury has like 9 hep pointsfreighttrain wrote:woodbury white will take the 2nd seedSauce2122 wrote:Both IGH and Woodburry white play Lakeville again this year, so those games will be huge for who will take second and third, but my bet says woodburry will take second
Hudson 16 12 3 1 14 39
Lakeville 14 13 1 0 12 38
Woodbury White 15 9 4 2 9 29
Eagan 15 7 7 1 14 29
Inver Grove Heights 14 6 6 2 13 27
South St Paul 14 6 7 1 10 23
Albert Lea 14 4 7 3 10 21
Woodbury Blue 14 3 11 0 11 17
Rochester 16 0 14 2 13 15
Eagan has SSP
Woodbury White has Albert Lea
Igh has woodbury blue and Lakeville
Ultimately if IGH beats or ties Lakeville and beat woodbury they get the 2 seed assuming they get fair play points
And if Eagan beats SSP and Woodbury White doesnt get fair play vs. Albert Lea or Lose to them
Eagan will get the two seed

Woodbury-White not getting their HEP point has changed things but I fully expect them to beat Albert Lea. Also Woodbury-White holds the tiebreakers over both Eagan and IGH. IGH has the tiebreaker over Eagan.irishfan08 wrote:not so fast IGH and Eagan are both still in the race for 2nd place since Woodbury has like 9 hep pointsfreighttrain wrote:woodbury white will take the 2nd seedSauce2122 wrote:Both IGH and Woodburry white play Lakeville again this year, so those games will be huge for who will take second and third, but my bet says woodburry will take second
