Congrats to Anoka, they've had an excellent season and certainly deserve their #2 ranking in 7AA. As I go to a school without a conference, I've never really understood the significance of them other than sticking a banner on the wall, but winning one is never easy.

Now Anoka's real test begins...how well can they crash the northern 7AA party?

Karl...you're team used to have a conference  the LSC  they would play Superior twice each year...Duluth Cathedral twice.. :P :P .Hermantown twice...Denfeld twice...bit I digress :D... and I don't blame them for playing an independent schedule as it certainly gives they're players better exposure...and prepares they're team better for the section play-offs.

Just a note, it was 3-1 with an empty net longball.
Both teams having many injuries in Corey Grandner and 2 starting D for CP, and most noteably Belisle for Anoka.

All in all, congrats to the tornadoes, Im sure the 15 seniors couldnt ask for anything better.

Gotta give anoka credit. The NWSC is a very competitive, if not the most competitive conference in the state, as far as every team can win any game on any given night. They had to put together some solid wins to win this conference. Congrats to a good season, and hopefully good luck at state!

You think Belisle will come back for the Andover game, or will he give the knee a rest until the big show next week? If I were a coach with a player of that caliper with a knee injury, I would have him take the ten day break to heal up thoroughly.

Cory Belisle has been a 4 year top two line player for Anoka and has tallied 142 career points...the CP game was maybe the 1st game he ever missed...I heard his knee felt much better on Thursday than it did on Tuesday night...hopefully its condition will improve enough by next Tuesday to allow him to play...as he is a gamer and one of the best players to ever wear an Anoka Jersey. :)
