Really a tough game for a #2 seed. Hope the Twisters can win.

Anoka is probably the most likely #2 seed to go down in the quarterfinals, not because they're bad, but because Andover is probably the best 7 out there. Andover could make it interesting, but I doubt Anoka will let them interfere with their march to the DECC.

A rivalry game always smells like trouble in the playoffs, especially when one is a big underdog in Andover. I'm still goin with the 'Nadoes 5-2.

The hearts of the 15 seniors on Anoka will be much greater than that of the sophomore Matt Ray. Anoka is gonna win this one, but barely.

3-2 Anoka

That's quite touching. Although, I do agree with your prediction.

Anoka vs Andover

Post by hockey59 »

In all seriousness, I want to pay tribute to the Andover Seniors who began their hockey careers in the Anoka youth program...this was a very hard fought game:

Senior Alex Basara...who played tonight with a torn ACL and MCL...but put a knee brace on and finished his HS career on his skates. Senior Jared Lachner, Senior Jesse Amar, Senior Bryan Schwartz, Senior Michael Osbeck, Senior Sam Posl, Senior Matt Hanson, Senior Kirk Kenneally, Senior Billy Hupp, Senior Eric Taie, Senior Andy Spence, Senior Dan Sainio... you've helped build a nice foundation that Andover youth hockey players can look up to and be proud of!

To the Andover Juniors and Sophomores...especially Aaron Wiczek, Cal Decowski and Matt Ray...the best is yet to come...good luck next season!
