The district website has the score posted, and the Game time is still at 2:00, kind of late to change it now.

bville vs tonka

I took in this game tonight. Great hockey from both teams.

Burnsville was not lucky tonight. Though shots on goal were very close (13 to 13 after two...don't know what the final shots were), Burnsville got better quality shots tonight. The Tonka goalie had more action. Burnsville's defense was solid and did not give up quality shots - a relatively easy night for their goalie.

Tonka's players seemed to have more finesse than Burnsville, but Burnsville had more of a physical presence tonight that wasn't yielding to the finesse.

That's my unbiased take. Two very good teams with three solid lines.

MY APOLOGIES!

THE DISTRICT WAS UNABLE TO CONTACT THE DISTRICT 6 BANTAM B TEAMS LATE LAST NIGHT, SO THE MINNETONKA/BURNSVILLE GAME IS STILL SCHEDULED FOR 2:00PM @ PAGEL!

Never happy to be a fountain of misinformation. Sorry

From D2 playoffs...

WBL Black 4 Roseville 3
WBL Orange 4 Stillwater 2

Both WBL teams will gain a seed in Regions
It's a very good assumption that Stillwater will come through the back door and meet up with whomever loses the Championship game of Black vs Orange (on Saturday @ 10:15am) for the other seed to Regions.

I give a lot of credit to Roseville for not going away in their game despite having been out shot 2-1

In the Stillwater game...They out shoot WBL Orange 2-1 and take some costly penalties late in game which proved to be the difference. The goalie for Orange made some incredible saves to keep his team in the game.

There was some incredibly sweet "dives" to create those penalties, WBO goalie was the difference in the game, he has been solid all year.

WB Black also looked good, as did Roseville, I think it was just a fun day of hockey all around.

I haven't looked, did the A Peewee's and A Bantams make it also?? How about the B peewee teams??

It's unfortunate for the other D4 "B" teams. . . . neither Luverne or Sleepy Eye fields an A team. . . . ask Luverne how close they came to being eliminated in their first game. It came down to an out of position referee waiving off an overtime goal by the 8th seeded team. . . (Glad I'm not bitter or anything!!!)

Luverne 3 Owatonna 2 OT
Luverne 11 Fairmont 3
Luverne 3 Sleepy Eye 0

Sleepy Eye beat Fairmont in the playback game, don't know the score.

Owatonna beat Mankato 3-2 and New Prague 5-4 in consolation side.

D11 Playoffs

Moose Lake 4 (2 empty netters)
DE Red 0

Worst showing by Red all year (isn't this when you strive to play your best games?). Didn't have a shot on goal the first ten minutes. ML hustled and wanted to win it. Nice job ML.
Moose Lake advances to championship game Friday night. Against winner of DE Black and Hermantown. DE Red and loser of that game play third place game. Top three go.
